Hi just wanted to share our dining experiences. There were 6 of us, myself, ds, dbil, ck (cousin's kid, 20, 1st trip to WDW) and ds twins, dniece and dnephew, 7. We used the DDE and saved over $120. Best $50 I ever spent as savings are now over $170 and we have one more trip to go. We has ADRs for all the table service meals.

First Night 7/28- Dinner at Chef Mickeys. This is a tradition for us. Food was good and the characters were fun as usual. CK thought this was the best meal of the trip.

Second Day 7/29- Lunch at Pizzafari. Adults shared 2 pizzas and the kids had pb&j and quesadillas. Pizza was ok, kids liked the quesadillas. The big attraction was that it was air conditioned.
Dinner- Princess Dinner at EPCOT. The food was not as bad as we feared but but not great either and we would not choose to go back however dniece has said this is her new favorite character meal so we probably will be back. The appetizers were pretty good as were the desserts but the entree left much to be desired. Princesses in attendance were Ariel (my dniece's absolute favorite since she was little), Cinderella, Belle, Auora and Jasmine. The look on my dniece's face when the character handler told her that Ariel was there was PRICELESS and then when she actually was talking to Ariel it was definately worth the cost of the meal. We did not tell her before hand about Ariel because we did not want her to be disappointed if Ariel was not there, so it really was a wonderful surprise.

Third day 7/30- Lunch at Pizza Planet Pizza was ok at best, Pizzafari was much better the day before.
Dinner- Prime Time. Food was great but the we concluded that the server must be new because hardly anything came out right. The kids drinks did not have the light up ice cubes, the chicken was assorted not all white meat as we had requested, two extra glasses needed to be requested 2x, onion rings came out only after we asked for them. To his credit however, he did try and made everything that we made him aware of right.

Fourth day 7/31- Lunch at Artist Pallett at SSR. Food was basic food court stuff.
Dinner- Crystal Palace The best thing about this was that the character were in a very friendly mood and willingly signed autograph books and took pictures. This has not always been the case here for us (5x) and was a pleasant surprise. We did this meal for ck who likes the Pooh characters. Food was just ok, it has never been to our taste and this was no exception. I would like to try breakfast here one day. The my sister surprised me with a WISHES cruise for my birthday last week. View was great and the cake was one of the best I have ever tasted.

Fifth day- Breakfast at Cape May. Food was delicious and the characters were very nice. The only problem was that we waited 40 min and then were seated ina half empty section so why did it take so long. This also happen with less wait time (about 20 min) at both CP and Princess dinners. We waited more time this trip then in 5 other trips combined.
Dinner- Hoop Dee Doo This was hands down the best meal of the trip for almost everyone. Fried chicken was moist, ribs were very good as were corn, beans, salad, bread with sweet butter and strawberry shortcake. Our waiter, Dallas, was also terrific, he got us white meat chicken, kept our drinks filled and got cookies for the kids because they did not like dessert.

All in all it was fairly good food. Most of the character meals were for the characters not the food and we knew it going in so it was no surprise that PrimeTime and Hoop Dee Doo were our two favorites.

Thanks for the reviews. I especially enjoyed hearing about your dniece's reaction to seeing Ariel. :goodvibes

Aw, I'm so glad Ariel was there!!! How fun!!!!!

What a great surprise, a Wishes cruise!

Thanks!

Thanks for the reviews. 50's Primetime is always a favorite of ours. We did the Hoop De Doo show a few years ago and really enjoyed it. The food was very good and we loved the show.
