I have a couple reviews for our trip 4/6 - 4/11.

Sunday:
Lunch - Cosmic Ray's - This place was packed! we split our party up; 2 got the food and 2 scouted for tables. It took us longer to find tables. Next time I won't be shy about taking the food out somewhere nice for a picnic. Ate the chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders. All very standard and well prepared.

Dinner - Mitsukishi Teppanyaki Dining Room - Probably the best dining experience I had the whole trip. Ate with my wife and almost 3-yr old daughter. My wife is a vegetarian and she ordered the tofu, I had the beef and chicken combo, my daughter got the kid's chicken dish. Fantasic. You get a lot of food, and it's all pretty light. My wife was impressed that the tofu was cooked before the meat (that can be important to vegetarians), my daughter ate NONE of her's. Fortunately I had 3 large draft sake's, so I didn't mind. The staff was very nice, friendly, and attentive. $95

Monday:
Lunch - Sand Trap Bar & Grill - Since I played golf at Bonnet Creek this was an obvious chioce for lunch. The food was pretty standard upscale sandwiches and burgers, well prepared. If you're looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of Disney. This is a good little spot

Dinner - Crystal Palace - My daughter loved this place! She never eats, but she ate here. Of course that's because of the character interaction. The place was packed and loud. The food is somewhat plain, but we have 5 people, and everyone found something they liked. I ate the roasted chicken, my wife found a pasta dish and MacNCheese. The setting and the food went well.

Tuesday:
Breakfast - 'Ohana - We were staying at the Poly and were on our way down to Captain Cooks when we saw that no one was at 'ohana. As you are seated, the hostess gives you a plate of pinapple bread. Pretty good. It's a lot like a pinapple danish without the gooey jelly. Breakfast is served quickly because it's family style. The waitress brings out an iron skillet with eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, Mickey-shapped waffles, and potatoes. All very good. The eggs seemed heavy, like they were made with cream and butter. The bacon actually had a mix of crisp and droopy although I don't know if that was intentional. Charater interaction was really good.

Lunch - Rosie's All American Cafe - Wife had a boca burger, and its tasted like a boca burger. Woo hoo.

Dinner - Boma - I think my expectations were probably a little high because I thought it was good, but I'm not raving about it. I had some of the marinated flank steak. That was awesome, but I think there was a sale on rosemary, because I think it was in everything. The vegetables were a little too droopy for me. A had a few Sam Adams after a long day, and all was right with the world. The deserts are good for the non-dieters, but I popped one of those zebra domes in my mouth, and gain 2lbs on the spot :). We had a PS for 5:30, got there around 5:00 and had no wait. There were very few people there at that time.

Wednesday:
Lunch - Kona Cafe - Got there around noon, and the place was fairly empty; the food and service was fantastic. I had the pulled pork sandwich which had a light but spicy BBQ sauce. My wife had the vegetarian pan-asian pasta. The portion was too big for her, but she though this meal was a close second to our meal at the Mitsukoshi Dining Room.

Dinner - Chef Mickey's - We went here late after a long day with a cranky "terrible 2 year-old". She loved it. She didn't really eat much, but the charaters we great and spent a lot of time with everyone. Of the 3 charater meals we did, This one had the worst food and the best charater interaction. Don't get me wrong, the food was well prepared and hot and fresh, but the selection seemed a little disappointing. I ate the roasted chicken and a little bit of the awesome mashed potatoes. My wife ate a salad and the mashed potatoes. Our waiter seemed a little snotty too, but I was in an outrageously bad mood. All was better when we got back to the poly watched fireworks from the beach, then I took my daughter down to a hammock as we watched the electric light parade.

Thursday:
Lunch - Sleepy Hollow - My daughter had I giant cookie and root beer float from Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square. That kept her bouncing all over the place.

Dinner - Le Cellier - The wife and I had one meal alone, and this was it. Had a PS for 6:00. Waited about 10 minutes. Pretzel bread was as awesome as people say. They have a beer there called la Fin du Monde. It's about 9%. Tasted a lot like the Belgian Trappist Monk beers. Very good. I had 4 of those. My Wife had the vegetarian pasta. She really liked it. I had the 7oz Filet Mignon. Well spiced, very tender, and the cream cheese mashed potatoes were obscenely good. Service was excellent Attentive, but not overly doting. $92

Friday:
Lunch - Pizzafari - Everyone has their preferences for pizza, but this pizza was a very good overall pizza. Half way between a thick crust and a thin crust. The bread sticks were really soft and very tasty.

Then I went home :(

These are some great reviews - thanks ever so much for posting them - I now want to try 'ohanas for breakkie just for the pineapple bread :) - gotta love that pretzel bread at Le Cellier, so you didn't have the soup then? I love the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup here :teeth:

Half way through the 2nd beer I started adding up calories...

The Cheddar Cheese soup was the first thing to go. I did substitue a side dish of asparagas. They were, by far, the best asparagas I've ever eaten.

Thanks so much for the terrific reviews. I so much want to try that pineapple bread.

Thanks for great detailed reviews!

Great reviews. I agree about the rosemary at Boma.:D

Nothing like the fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant from the Polynesian beach to make all seem right with the world.

Thanks for the reviews. Even though I am not a vegetarian (I eat seafood and poultry), I really enjoyed reading about the vegetarian options, in addition to the usual meat dishes. Sometimes the menus of the "steakhouse" restaurants seem so beef oriented, that I am leary of trying them! Thanks!:)
