Crystal Palace~~July 16~~Breakfast

We had 8:05 a.m. PS. We got to the podium at around 8:10 because it's hard to resist taking pictures of an almost empty Main Street.:D We were seated at about 8:20. Our server was Sherri and even though it was a buffet, she was very helpful. The food here is plentiful. I liked trying the peanut butter pancakes that were made fresh at the omlet station. If you ask for 3, you'll get them shaped in a "hidden" Mickey. This breakfast is sort of a blurr for me. After I got my pancakes, a GIANT party of about 50 people came in. They had on lime green shirts, but they were no Disers. It was near impossible to get to the food after they arrived. They all decided to go up to the buffet at the same time. It was pretty chaotic. They were blocking up the walkways and everything. I forgot to get some butter, but there was no easy way to get back up there. Luckily Sherri asked if she could bring us anything. She brought us some bacon, pastry and butter. Even she commented about how crazy it was up there. I know that the lime green shirt people were not Disers because they kept sending the children up to different tables to chase the characters down. They would actually interrupt family pictures and videos. My favorite moment was when Winnie the Pooh "shooed" them back to their tables.:teeth: Priceless. Even through all of this chaos, the characters made it over to our table and gladly posed for pictures even though we were a table of 2 adullts. I would have loved to linger around this restaurant and go back for seconds, but it was just too crazy in there. If that giant party were not around, I'm sure my experience would be much different. Meal came to $36.19.
Overall Grade: C+

Narcoossees~~July 16~~Dinner

This was by far the best meal of the trip. We had 7:10 PS and were seated immediately. Natalie was our server and she was very good. We were seated by the window overlooking the MK. My boyfriend started with the Seafood Chowder. He really liked it. I had the Field Greens and loved the dressing they put on. For our main course, I had the Salmon and it tasted wonderful. My boyfriend had the Whole Maine Lobster. He said it was the best lobster he has ever eaten. We shared the strawberry cobbler for dessert and it was just enough to satisfy us. We also ended the meal with coffee. Some people report that this place is too noisey. It is not a quiet place, but it definitley was not loud. I like the atmosphere here. My only regret was that I didn't make a PS during fireworks time because I'm sure it's a beautiful experience. There weren't too many children here during our dinner, I don't know if that's typical or not. Meal came to $123.54--the most expensive of our trip, but worth every penny.
Overall Grade- A+

Oh no, I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience at Crystal Palace. I can't believe people like that, but it would have been funny to see Pooh shooing them away.

Do you think you'll try it again, since it really wasn't the restaurant that was a problem? I hope it's better next time, if you do!

bigbabyblues, I woldn't rule out eating there again. The food that I got to taste was good. I wouldn't tell anyone not to eat there because it was probably the big group that made my experience so crazy.
:D

Thanks for the reviews, Tinkbell! I'm glad that you realize your experience at Crystal Palace was probably atypical due to the huge crowd of inconsiderate people, and I hope any future meals you have there will be much more pleasant!

Narcoossee's sounds wonderful. I hope to eat there with DH one day, so I really enjoyed reading your review! :D

Thanx for sharing your reviews with us.

Thrilled with your review of Narcoossee's. We're trying it for the first time in Sept. for DH's birthday.

I saw that group also, we were at WDW July 10 - July 23. It was one of the infamous Brazilian Tour Groups. They were everywhere during our trip. We must have seen about 10 different tours during our stay.

No, my group was from the USA. It was a group of women and girls---no guys at all. We herad one of them say they were from Jersey. We DID run into many Brazilian groups in the parks though, especially MK.:D

That's funny, because I did see a Brazilian tour group wearing lime green shirts!! I didn't see that group though.

Thanks for the reviews, I enjoyed reading them. Sorry to hear about your awful experience with that tour group. I would have been SO mad if they ruined my meal like they did yours!

Oh, I know.:D It just happened to be where one of the ladies was from. I think they were all just excited to be there and being such a big group, it sort of disrupted the entire flow of the restaurant. Jersey is OK with me.:D
