From our trip last week (9/8-9/13):

It's hard to find anyone who has much good to say about The Mara, but I thought it was more than acceptable for an inexpensive meal. I had the tandoori chicken pizza several times when we there (although after the first time I asked them not to add the onions and peppers, and they had no problem at all with that). I thought it was very good and filling for $7. We also got many items from the cold case: An excellent roast beef sandwich, that yogurt parfait on several occasions (Yum! - you really should try it), and of course I had to get the Boma dessert tray once (zebra domes and chocolate mousses). My only complaint about The Mara would be the small, very expensive beverages... Free refills, but it was still a little weird.

Another good value is the Food Quest / Wonderland Cafe run by Cheesecake Factory at DisneyQuest.

DisneyQuest in general has a very confusing layout, and I don't think I ever saw the *full* extent of the food offerings until this trip... Just remember, there are about *four* different counters and the dessert bar downstairs, so keep walking around the whole circle until you see something you like. I can't remember what all the different counters were, but we ate at the pizza/panini counter, which has a wood-burning stove (I think!). I had the chicken & mushroom panini, which was *so* good I can't remember what DBF had. :) (I think he had a few individual slices of pizza). Sandwich was $6 or $7.

One thing I *don't* recommend: Going to DisneyQuest in early afternoon, riding some of the VR rides, and then deciding that a chocolate mousse cup would be a good snack in place of lunch... Mousse was good, but I ended up feeling ill for quite a while. *grin*

Only complaint: Had to move several times to find a working internet terminal at Wonderland Cafe... and the rest seem SOOO slow now. I was going to post to DISBOARDS when we were there, but it was just too slow.

Last but not least, we ate a couple of breakfasts at the big MacDonald's near Blizzard Beach. Much as I am ashamed to admit it, those McGriddles are actually really tasty! Heh.
