Sorry it has taken so long to get these up. I've finally conquered both my cold and the mountain of laundry I brought home!
Hope you enjoy...

5/31
Lunch - Garden Grille @ EPCOT:
We got a booth on the lower level, outside. It was really cool! We couldn't even see any other diners so it was like having the place to ourselves. Loved the rotation. Watching the scenery from "The Land" ride was great. Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto all came around two or three times. Dale and Pluto were especially fun.
As for the food, we all liked the steak and chicken the best. The catfish was good but we like regular cornmeal breaded catfish better. Vegies were also good. Our server also brought us the kids skillet with chicken strips, fries, and macaroni and cheese. These were all very good as well. For desert we had cherry cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. Delicious! Our trip was off to a great start!

Dinner - Yorkshire County Fish and Chips in the World Showcase:
We all got the fish and chips baskets. DS and DH thought it was a little greasy and rather bland. DD and I loved ours, however! We ate about thirty minutes later than they did so maybe ours was fresher than theirs? I don't know. Anyway, I really loved this and would do it again.

6/1
Breakfast - CBR Food Court
Nothing too exciting. DD and I were not hungry so we skipped this meal. DH got a breakfast platter with bacon, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. Pretty good, he said. Very filling. DS got the kids French toast with bacon. He said it was good. More French toast than he could finish. Over all, good food at a good value.

Lunch - Pecos Bill's @ MK
Great burgers, as always. We split two double burgers and ordered extra fries. DD and I piled on the sautéed mushrooms and cheese sauce from the toppings bar. We all ate way too much cheese sauce and fries! This is my favorite counter service.

Dessert - ice cream in Liberty Square
DH, DS, and I got Mickey bars while DD got the Mickey sandwich. We enjoyed these in the shade of the Liberty Tree while waiting to see Hall of Presidents.

Snack – Aloha Isle @ MK
After a break at CBR pool, we headed back to MK and straight to AdventureLand for our first Dole Whip of the trip. DH, DD, and I had pineapple floats. DS had a chocolate/vanilla swirl with sprinkles.
If I lived near a Dole Whip stand, I’d be into SERIOUS addiction. We’re talking interventions and 12 step programs. Need I say more?

Dinner - Casey's Corner @ MK
We all got jumbo hot dogs and (gasp!) more fries with cheese sauce and ate while we waited for Spectro. Everything was fresh, hot, and yummy!

Breakfast - Donald's Breakfastosaurus @ AK
The most disappointing meal of the entire trip. We had an 8:00 PS. We were rushed from the moment we walked up to check in to the moment we got our check. Everything in between is pretty much a blur. Our server was loud and obnoxious. The food was pretty good but the selection was much less than in the past. Characters were so rushed we barely got pictures before they hurried to the next table. This was one of our favorites last year. Too bad. Never again.

Lunch - Flame Tree BBQ @ AK
DD was not hungry so she skipped this meal. The rest of us got the rib platters. Ribs were a little tough but had a good flavor. Beans were way too sweet for our taste. I liked the corn on the cob but I think I was the only one. We enjoyed the waterside seating. Pretty good, but we'll probably try something else next time.
Later, DD got hungry and grabbed a Fried Chicken Sandwich from Tusker House. She really liked this. I tried a bite and I agreed. It was really good.

Dinner - Turkey legs @ MGM
DH and I shared one and kids had a bite or two. They were not really hungry so they went and rode RNR again while we ate.
We love turkey legs and this one did not disappoint. Very meaty and a good smoky flavor.

Breakfast - food court
Breakfast platters and Mickey waffles. All was good. Better, actually, than Donald's for 1/4 the price!

Lunch - food court
We grabbed a late lunch here after returning from Typhoon Lagoon. DH, DD, and I got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches with fries. DS got pepperoni pizza. All was good, once again.

Dinner – 1900 Park Fare @ The Grand Floridian
My favorite character meal yet. Actually, this would have been great even without the characters! The Fairy Godmother met us in the lobby for pictures and then we were seated after about five minutes. We headed for the buffet and we all tried different things, so I’m not sure if I can remember them all. I know for sure that the prime rib was very good and we all agreed on that. I especially liked a pasta dish with shrimp and asparagus in an alfredo sauce. There was also a fish in a light dill sauce that was pretty good. DD loved the cream of mushroom soup. The chilled strawberry soup is as good as everyone says. I had mine with my dessert, though. It just seemed to go better. Speaking of dessert, OMG! There were so many to choose from. I had key lime tarts, which were just wonderful, and the strawberry soup. DD and DH tried some of the soup and agreed with me. The two of them also had strawberries and cream, cheesecake tarts, and a fruit cobbler. I don’t remember what kind. We all sampled each other’s choices and agreed they were all superb. DS was content with the ice cream and toppings bar.
All the characters were wonderful. They were so attentive, even though my kids are way beyond the “little prince and princess” stage. Prince Charming lived up to his name, talking with each of us and posing for pictures. Even I got my picture taken with him. DH still teases me about that one! Cinderella was beautiful and so sweet. The mice just loved DS and kept hugging and “kissing” him!
I can’t say enough good things about this meal. My DD has been a Cinderella fanatic since she was two and this was just about the high point of her trip. Worth every penny.

6/4
We skipped breakfast and got to AK for EMH.
We shared a huge pretzel after the safari ride.

Lunch - Pizzafari @ AK
DS had a pepperoni pizza, which he said was good. A little different from the food court. DH and I split the Italian Sandwich, which we thought was very good. In fact, we kinda wished we’d each gotten our own! DD wasn’t hungry again. I think she had a breadstick or two from the order we all shared. Good for counter service. The colorful rooms are really cool, too.

Dinner – World Showcase snacks @ EPCOT
We started at Mexico and shared the nachos. Pretty good, but nothing unusual for us, being from Texas. What made the stop worthwhile were the Fiesta Margaritas! I would definitely be coming back!
Next, we had a sweet pretzel and some lefse in Norway. DH also had a Viking coffee. We all enjoyed.
By now, DD and I were full but DH and DS were still hungry so they shared a combination plate at Yakitori House in Japan. They both gave it two thumbs up.
I wish I could have sampled more. Another time, I suppose.

Breakfast – food court
Bacon, eggs, and Mickey waffles were still good!

Lunch – 50’s Prime Time @ MGM
A favorite from last trip, this one did not disappoint!
DD and DS split the Pot Roast and DH and I split the Fried Chicken. They split these in the kitchen for us, which is always nice. We all made clean plates, so no one got “choo-choo’ed” anything! Our server was our “brother” Bobby. He was fun without being over-bearing or obnoxious. We looked through the view master and chose our desserts. DH and DD shared a banana split. DS had a vanilla malt, which he swears are the world’s best. I had the PB&J shake. It was so good! Wish I could duplicate it at home but I just haven’t got it right yet.
50’s PT; still a favorite!

Dinner – Hot dogs @ MGM
We stopped at one of the stands on Sunset Blvd. DS, DH, and I got hot dogs/ chili dogs. DD wasn’t hungry. (Do you see a pattern here?). They were good. We were satisfied. What can you really say about hot dogs?

6/5
Breakfast – food court
DH and DS had their usual. DD and I skipped it.

Snack – AdventureLand @ MK
I was almost in a panic over the Dole Whip place not yet being open at 10:45 am but I managed to calm down enough to try a Citrus Swirl. It was good. OK, it was REALLY good. But it was NOT a Dole Whip.

Lunch – Restaurant Marrekesh @ EPCOT
The four of us shared a plate of shish kebobs and a sultan’s sampler. We then asked for another order of the beef rolls, since we all enjoyed the one we’d split from the sampler platter. These were so good! Almost like an egg roll with beef inside and cinnamon and sugar on the outside. Such an odd combination for us, but we all loved them. Even DS, whose idea of adventurous eating is to have sausage on his pizza instead of pepperoni. He also tried couscous for the first time and has asked me to make it at home now! Maybe I should have taken him to World Showcase a long time ago.
For dessert, we shared the crepes atlas and the pastry sampler. This was all wonderful.
DH declared this his favorite meal of the trip. Everything we tasted was delicious. The restaurant was beautiful and the music and dancer were very entertaining. Marrekesh will definitely be on our return list.

Snack – Aloha Isle @ MK
OK, now it was open and I was going to have my Dole Whip! The tree of us got our pineapple floats again (heaven!) and DS got a chocolate/vanilla coke float.

Dinner – Columbia Harbour House @ MK
DH and I got fish baskets, while kids got combination fish and chicken. We found a quiet table upstairs by a window overlooking Liberty Square. We all enjoyed our meal and sitting in the quiet atmosphere. It was funny, when we left; the downstairs area was packed and noisy. I don’t know why more people don’t go upstairs but I’m certainly not going to spoil a good thing for those of us who do!

6/7
Breakfast – can you guess?

Lunch – Cheesecake Factory Express @ Disney Quest
Surprisingly good burgers and fries here! I was really expecting something more like at the resort food court, which isn’t bad, but these were really good! Huge handmade patties with all the fixings and fries that tasted like they were cut from actual potatoes. I wish there was a CFE someplace besides DQ.

This was our last WDW meal. At 6:30, we were on the plane home so I suppose our dinner was a bag of pretzels and diet coke.

Thanks for reading! I’ll answer any questions that I can.

Thanks for the reviews, I should be ahamed of myself, I never do food reviews but I always read what others wrote, did it ever cross my mind that people like to read what others write like maybe me. I am going in Novemeber and I am going to make myself do it, I am not a good typist so that stops me when I start. Again thanks for your review :D

HunnyPots... Great reviews!

Would mind posting how much you spent on your trip for food?

Our family is similar, me, DH and 2 DS's 17 & 14. I'm trying to figure out how much we will spend for food. Thanks!

Loved the review on the 1900 Park Fare. Will be going there for the first time when I'm there in Sept.

Joy

Loved your reviews...1900 Park Fare is on my list for next trip! I don't know if my boys will get into it, but this PS is gonna be about "me"...:p

We had a similar experience at Donalds. Never again...huge waste of money!

Great reviews!! We also love 50's Primetime Cafe (well I do anyway - DH doesn't love the whole "eat your veggies" and "elbows off the table" part of it:rolleyes: )

Thanks for sharing!

Loved your reviews. I have a different take on Columbia Harbour House- working on it now...

Also, do you get an extra bun for your burgers at Pecos or literally cut them in half? Just curious...

Blessings :)

Thanks for the great reviews in the classic style! You've given me a couple ideas.

I had the same problem with Dole whips! Except I was there at 10:37. :teeth: Can't blame them for not being open as Adventureland was deserted at that time. And since that was our last day, I never did get my Dole Whip. Maybe this year!

Thanks for reading; glad you all enjoyed them!

As far as Pecos Bill's, no, we did not get extra buns but just cut our burgers in half. Still plenty of food for all of us.

Truthfully, I don't really know what we ended up spending on food! I kind of said, "To heck with it" after the first day. I know our counter service meals were between $20 and $30 for the four of us, except the turkey leg or hot dog meals and they were less than $20. Character meals are a set price, so you can check on allears.net for menus and prices. Oh - I also know pineapple floats are around $3 each!;)

Thanks for the great reviews! We are going to be eating at some of the same places in Sept - we can't wait!! :)
