Another installment of where we ate

6/3 Thursday

Breakfast....1900 Park Fare. We had a 10:00am PS & were seated about 10 minutes after that. This was our very first time trying 1900 Park Fare for breakfast & I am happy to report that we were very pleased. Although our server was slow to refill our drinks, we enjoyed the character interaction & of course the FOOD
Even though our PS was for later in the day, the food was still fresh, especially the eggs. Nothing worst then eggs that have been sitting there for a while & they have a crust on them! YUCK!
The characters we saw were Alice in the Wonderland, Mad Hatter (interaction was wonderful with him), Pooh & Tigger. Mary Poppins was greeting people in the lobby. She was very friendly.

Lunch...we ate lunch kind of late this day. We just ate at Pop Century food court. Again I was pretty pleased with their selections. DH & I both had the Penne Pasta (with no meatballs) & DS had the mac & cheese. No complaints from anyone.

Dinner....more Dole Whips

6/4 (Friday)

Breakfast...it was check in day at the Contemporary, so we ate at the Fun n' Food Center this morning. Average counter food.

Supper...Chef Mickey's We had a 5:30pm PS. My mother had flown down so we took her to Chef Mickey's for supper.
Our experience wasn't as nice as the first night we went to Chef Mickey's but it wasn't a total bomb. Our server was pretty decent, not as top notch as the first one. Food was fresh so I can't complain there.
The characters we saw were Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale & Donald.
The character interaction was overall decent.

6/5 (Saturday)

Breakfast...Donald's Breakfast We had an 8:00am PS. This was our 4th time eating at Donald's breakfast, we have always been pleased with it. I am sorry to report we were very disappointed with it this day
We arrived right on time & we were seated. As we were seated our server pretty much yelled at us to have our books opened & not to leave to get the food because the then we would miss the characters. He also said that if we don't mind missing the characters that we can go get something to eat otherwise to stay.
It was VERY RUSHED when the characters came. We were lucky to get one picture in. Donald even almost left our table without signing my DS's autograph book, I had to call him back over.
In all we saw Donald, Pluto, Mickey & Goofy within 5 minutes & that was it.
Very rushed & very disappointed, especially since we have always had good times there before.
I do have to say the food was fresh though. But my hot apple crisp had changed, instead of a "crisp" topping it was more like a pie topping. I was disappointed when I saw that.
I really don't know if I would try Donald's breakfast again, I really felt like it was a major waste of money.

Late Lunch/Early supper....Pizzafari This is our favorite place in Animal Kingdom for counter food. I had the bread sticks & DS had the cheese pizza. He had got the coupon when he got some lemonade & popcorn for the parade later that day. Pizzafari is a GREAT place for some counter food.

Sorry you had a bad experience at Donalds. Sounds like you had the same waiter we had a couple years ago. We wont be going back either.

We had a similar experience with Donald's too Glad you liked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. This is a favorite of mine.

We were at Donald's on Wenesday 6/2 for an 8:00 ps and had an experience identical to yours! Not only was the character interaction non-existant, but we had a loud, obnoxious server that did nothing but talk about himself and his "career" to the entire room and act as if we were an imposition to him. After a great experience here last year we were very disappointed. I thought maybe it was just an off day but after reading so many similar reviews I don't think we'll be returning.

Is this the restaurantasaurus breakfast in AK? I have ps for this during our trip in July. I hope my experience is better than the rest of yours, I'd read really good things about it and decided the kids would love it. This is our first trip there so I really have nothing to compare it to.

Thanks for the reviews. Hopefully Donald's will improve as we have a PS there in August at the request of my nephew who enjoyed it with the rest of us last year. Sounds like Park Faire was great, hopefully we can try it.
