Cast: Me(30) and DH(31). DH has a chronic pain condition and uses a power wheelchair so I have included information about accessibility for those that are interested in such things. He can walk a few feet and transfer to a regular chair. However, he prefers to stay in his PC and this requires a table that he can drive straight into his "seat" because it is hard to maneuver the chair around in between crowded tables. We always explain this when entering a restaurant and I always state that we are willing to wait longer for a suitable table. We stayed on the concierge floor at AKL, so we did not eat breakfast out and supplemented meals with snacks from the lounge.

Wednesday (Epcot): We had lunch at Chef's de France. We again had trouble communicating our need for an easily accessible table and were seated at the furthest table from the door. DH had a difficult angle to maneuver to get to the table, but it took less effort than Wolfgang Puck's. Our table was next to the server's stand, so DH's chair was constantly being bumped by staff walking by. Our waiter only had 4 tables and he hung out at lot at the stand. You would think this would mean excellent service, which his other 3 tables clearly received. However, he spent more time staring at DH's chair than actually paying attention to our table. The only time he did spend was in the first five minutes when he tried to convince us we really needed wine with each course of our meal. My repeated statement that we did not drink wine or any alcohol finally got through and the service was non-existent from then on. We had to try to get his attention to get anything. He would clearly look at our table with empty drink glasses and plates, but would not stop. We ordered the cheese plate appetizer. The cheeses were quite tasty. There was some type of swiss, a blue, a brie and something else that was very good. Since we could not get our waiter's attention, I do not know what it was called. We also ran out of bread to enjoy with the cheeses and I thought it was a little strange that the cheese did not come with some type of crackers. It turns out that we should have received a basket of various crackers with the cheese. We discovered this as we were leaving and saw them on other tables. When I had asked our server about it, he told us it did not come with crackers. The crusty French rolls that came with lunch were hot and fresh. DH had the ham and cheese sandwich. It was mostly cheese with a tiny piece of ham. Great if you like a grilled cheese sandwich. The bread was toasted and buttery. I had the chicken crepe. It was filled with chicken and sundried tomatoes. Very flavorful and big enough to share. I really enjoyed it and would order it again. We had planned to order dessert after watching the pastry chef prepare many dishes but the service was so bad, we just left. Service: Bad Accessibility: Would have been fine if the hostess had paid attention to my request for a table close to the entrance.

We had a 9:00 priority seating at Boma for dinner. What a wonderful place! Offerings that night included spiced chicken, prime rib, BBQ ribs and nut crusted salmon. All were very good. I could cut the prime rib with my fork. We tried the butternut squash soup (much better than WP's) and the chicken curry. Both were excellent. The coconut green beans were very good and the coconut flavor was not too strong. Desserts and salads were great. We had already sampled the zebra domes in the concierge lounge, but had to have some more while at Boma. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He stopped by after our trips through the food lines to see what we thought of things. We will definitely be back during our trip in November. Service: Terrific Accessibility: Our request for an easily accessible table was cheerfully met. No problems getting through the lines. I went through with DH carrying his plate and then returned to get my own plate. Our waiter offered to go through with DH to carry his plate, which was very nice, but DH was a little uncomfortable with this, so we did it our usual way.

My mouth is just watering reading your Boma review. We loved it there too! Staff very friendly and the food selection was great and it was very tasty.

So sorry Chefs De France did not turn out well. We had one great experience there followed by a just so-so one. I get annoyed about wait staff turning off on you table b/c you don't want wine too.

I'm wondering if you had the same waiter in Chefs de France that we had in the summer of 2001. We (gasp) drank soda and water with our meal...obviously not acceptable in his sight. While the chef was wonderful and attentive to my dietary restrictions, the waiter assigned to our table made us feel like the ugly Americans.

I have to comment on your table assignment at Chef de France. I dine often with a friend who has problems walking. We also get the table farest away from the door. Always! We just walk really slow and after a while the hostess looks around and waits for us. It's become quite a joke.

I am really sorry how the waiter treated your DH. There is no excuse and it makes me really mad. I can't explain how I feel when I hear stories like that. I think I would have complained to the mgr.

I found Chef de France to be mediocre at best. I thought perhaps the waiters were rude because that's the way it is in Paris. I would have said someting but then again, I'm just trouble ;)
