I read a lot of negative reviews about the Trick or Treat parties this year, so I thought I'd share my experience as a first-timer....

We had a FANTASTIC time! :ccat:

It might have been because it was a Thursday night, but the crowds were quite manageable. The lines for the rides were super short. We practically walked right on Tower of Terror and Mickey's Fun Wheel. The lines for seeing the characters went quite fast, as did the lines for the candy stations. We purposely started at the BACK of the park though, so that might have made quite the difference.

At each station, they gave out a handful of candy to all of us (adults included). We got Tootsie Rolls, Milky Ways, Butterfingers, Tootsie pops, Smarties, Kit Kats, Dots, Nerds, Starburst, taffy, etc. They had healthy alternatives too if you asked for them, like apples and raisins.

The character cavalcade was very short but very fun for the kids. They pulled the kids up from the sidewalks and danced with them all to Halloween songs (like the Master Mash, etc.). The only thing that would have been better though if they had many more characters than they did. They did have Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, G.I. Joe and Woody though. But a longer parade would have been better.

My daughter got her picture taken and autographs with Belle, Ariel, Mickey, and Minnie. We also saw Cinderella, Aurora, Woody, Jessie, the Queen of Hearts, and the Evil Step Sisters.

Overall, we all had a great time...and we definitely plan to do it again! :)

Glad you had a great time we did a Thursday as well October 8th and had what sounds to be like the same sort of experience that you did, no crowds, tons of candy and walk on rides!!!

I will do it again but on a weekday only seeing as how for the past 2 years we have had great experiences with Thursday visits for MTOTP:goodvibes

Yup that was our experience on Thursday the 8th also :) we will go again for sure :)

sounds like they had more chocolate :cool1: we hardly got any chocolates that was my biggest complaint! :scared1: give me the chocolates :lmao:
