I just got back from a quick three night stay at CSR. After typically staying at the deluxe resorts I was somewhat apprehensive about the stay, but the all in all I had a great experience.

When we pulled in to the resort I immediately liked the look the the resort, however the way the check in process was a little frustrating. Rather than pulling your car right up to the front to have the valets unload you are instructed to park the car in the parking lot....I didn't understand why this was their policy, as it created a lot of walking back and forth in the RAIN. :sad2:

We ran into our first real "issue" at the check in counter. We had paid extra to insure that we would receive a king size bed...however we were told that our room was in fact NOT A KING. I tried to explain to the cast member that we paid extra for our room...however she insisted that their were NO KING'S available.

I was starting to get frustrated and promptly asked to speak to a manager. I don't recall the managers name, but she was FABULOUS! (She was a nice caucasian woman with short brown hair). The manager quickly fixed the problem and our KING room.. which we had in fact paid for magically appeared.:thumbsup2... Since the problem ended up being resolved I would rate the check in process as a.... B

The room itself was pretty much how I excepted it to be. I would say the room could compare to a Holiday Inn or Embassy Suite in quality. The room was extremely clean and the bathroom was nice and large. The best thing about the room was the comfy bed and pillows....Ultra nice after a long day of walking. Overall I would rate the room as an.... A+

Most of our meals came from the Pepper Market. The food at the Pepper Market was SUPER delicious. For breakfast I usually got the kids meal with scrambled eggs and mickey waffles, but everything else looked really good too. I wanted to try one of there Breakfast burritos but they were HUGE...and would have been way to much for me. I also tried a margarita pizza...which they cook to order and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. :yay: The only thing that I didn't like about the Pepper Market was the way you can't get your own drink and have to have a waiter...it was kind of a pain as it would be quicker just to get it yourself...but it was no biggie. Overall I would say the quality of the food makes up for the confusing layout and that the Pepper Market should not be missed.... A-

The resort grounds themselves were fabulous. The atmosphere with the lights on the lake is TAKE YOUR BREATHE AWAY pretty. And the pool/hottub area is unique and fun. My only wish was that the pool bar stayed open until the pool closed but it was no biggie. The grounds are def. Deluxe quality and should be considered an...A+

Overall I really enjoyed my stay at CSR and would highly recommend it, even though some of their policies were a little confusing.

Hi,

I am glad you enjoyed CSR. We were there is Sept. and really enjoyed it. In fact we are going back there this Sept. and looking forward to it.:)

Thank you so much for your review of the CSR, ThanksForNoticingMe. I'm so glad that despite a couple of minor issues that you enjoyed your stay at the CSR. We've stayed eight times and it has become our "home away from home". Could the manager that assisted you have been Shannon? If so, she is terrific.

I am so glad to read this. We are going in December and I am still not 100% comfortable with my CSR choice. Hopefully we will have a great time. I can't see having a bad time at WDW in december when coming from NY LOL.

Yep I think it was Shannon...super helpful, professional, nice lady.

I go to WDW several times a year, but seldom stay in the same resort on back to back trips. However, this past Sept/Oct, I enjoyed CSR so much that we returned for our Dec trip and again loved it. In fact, I loved it so much that I called a few days after I got home and switched my upcoming May trip from PORS to CSR. A few weeks ago, I decided the AP discounts were too good to pass up, so switched to a split stay at AKL and CSR. I considered doing the entire 9 days at AKL, but really wanted to stay at CSR again, so went with a split stay. I also have another trip planned for this Dec at CSR again. I am booked at CBR for my Oct trip, but am seriously considering switching it to CSR too. Anyway, my long winded point is that we loved CSR in Dec, so much that it influenced my resort decisions for the rest of the year.:rotfl:

Thanks for the review! We're still trying to decide between POP and CSR.

Would you be able to tell me when the pool closes?

So happy to read your review!! We switched from the Poly to CSR because I wanted some extra shopping money. I don't expect it to be as nice as the Poly, but it's nice to read such a positive review!
I'm really looking forward to staying there!

I remember reading that it closes at Midnight, but that the slide closes when the lifeguards go off duty. I think they said that time varies with the season.

Great to hear, we are staying there for the first time soon.

A question...If you can't get your own drinks, how do you fill up your mugs that you buy??

The pool and hut tub closed at midnight, but they shut the slide down around 8pm if I remember correctly. Perhaps it would be open later know they because of the time change, i am not sure.

Happy you liked the CSR. We had a plesant experience there, and would definately stay again. The grounds are quite pretty.

I think we spoke with the same manager when we had an issue during our stay, and she very helpful. She made sure it was taken care of very promptly.

There is an area near the lobby/gift shop where you can fill your mugs yourself. But in the Pepper Market you are charged a 10% service fee for the wait staff and there is not a refill station in the Pepper Market itself. The 10% service charge didn't really bother me though, I just don't understand why they run it that way :confused3

But the food was really good and I loved the atmosphere. Just be patient the first time you go and you will love it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE :lovestrucThe CSR. We stayed at the Carribean Beach and would never stay there again after staying at CSR. EVERYONE goes out of their way to be helpful, the Pepper Market is good and fresh, the beds are conmfortable and the rooms dont look and feel so run down, and Mousekeeping is stellar. If you can get in when there are no confrences, it is like having the WHOLE hotel to yourself! WE LOVE THE CSR!!!

Thanks for the great review! I'm glad you enjoyed CSR. Our family loves it, and we are looking forward to another great stay in July.

:surfweb:we will be staying at CSR  for the third time starting July 13:banana: We fell in love with the resort after spending our first (wonderful) trip at the Carribean, we tried somthing different and have always returned to CSR:banana:

YAY!!! We will be staying at CSR for the first time in a month. I can't wait. Thanks for the review.:goodvibes

We are also staying at CSR for the first time in August. I'm a little bit worried that we will miss our favorite CBR though since we've stayed there now 3 times with never any issues.

I stayed at CSR for the first time last year. It was great. The view at night was just spectacular. I just loved the tranquility of resort!

The Pepper Market is a definite highlight. I don't think any other resort has better QS meals!
