There are not many reviews of the RV parks so when I had a bad experience I just wanted to let others know. We have stayed at all three close RV parks over the years and the Anaheim RV Village was the best but now its closed to make room for a new parking lot for Disney
The other park, Anaheim Harbor RV Park, is not great but better then the Anaheim resort RV park.
My first impression was not a good one when I called and that should have tipped me off to stay somewhere else. When I called they had giving me a few options for a standard back in and I called back the next day to book and was told no options were available and when I listed off the options that were given to me the prior day the staff told me that I never should have been told anything was available because they had me staying in a tent site when I had a 25 foot trailer. Not the best impression if the staff doesn't even know what sites are tents and what sites are RV sites. The staff had been rude and I had been given conflicting information so I called them on it and they apologized and booked me for another site at an "upgrade."
When we showed up and checked in things went smooth and we paid. Then it just went downhill from there, the bathrooms were dirty and it was hit and miss when we would find a clean bathroom. The ART bus service was slow and one day I was even out waiting and the driver didn't even stop and I tried running after the bus but it never stopped. The ART drivers were rude and one missed totaling a car in front of us by inches and everyone on the bus went flying to avoid missing the car. We only had one good driver in 5 days, so disappointing,
Then halfway through the stay at the neighboring trailer park there was a "major event", SWAT came out and about 50 cop cars some ambulances and fire trucks and a few CORONER vehicles. There was crime scene tape up for the rest of the day. This made us extremely nervous and we felt very unsafe. If this was not bad enough the day before we were supposed to leave we were getting off the ART bus and a man tried to push his way onto the bus as we were getting off and then said to my husband to "get the f**k out of is way," I was really confused as to why this happened as i think it is common knowledge that you get on the bus after everyone gets off. Apparently he thought everyone should have waited for him to get on the bus before we could exit. Then all the sudden the man gets back off the bus and tells me to "shut the f**k up" and I had not even said anything to him. I apologized profusely for whatever it was I did to offend him and her took a step towards me and said "your husbands not so tough but you are" insinuating that he wanted to fight me, at this point I just apologized and tried to walk away while he yelled at me to "get the f**k away and shut the f**k up." All the while my 4 year old son is wondering why this guy is yelling at mommy and we are really scared for our safety. Then he follows us back to our trailer and makes sure I see him watching us. I was so scared that I tried to go into the office to explain what happened and the girl at the desk takes a report but then tells me how nice this man is and that he is a long term resident. HOW NICE HE IS??? Is she serious?! This guys just threatened me and my family and a man that talks to a woman like that and insinuates that he wants to hit her is NOT a nice guy. Anyways after that I was scared for my family's safety so we just packed up and left a day early.
I asked that the owner call to talk to me about this as I was really afraid that this man might hurt someone else if he has such an anger problem over nothing! I never received any sort of communication from the RV park or the owner, its sad because one little call and a second out of the owners day might have made all the difference in how I felt about our stay.
I would NEVER stay here again and the customer service here is nonexistent and if the owner doesn't even care to talk to me I cant imagine he really cares for the safety of his guests! Really really disappointing stay!
Also be advised that cars go by the RV park sometimes at 50 to 60 miles an hour and its significantly more expensive then the now closed Anaheim RV village.
Just wanted others to know our experience with this place, and we will never be going back here!
