Please help me "feel good" about our Hotel choice for this trip.
I have searched on line for "reviews" and "feedback".
We need a CHEAP hotel with a GREAT location for this trip.

The location is important because we are traveling with a young person who has some mobility issues that flare up after a long day at the Parks.

So, please let me know what you think? Any alternative locations?

We were able to book it for $116.10 per night for two nights!

Here's my reveiw of our stay:
We stayed in room 258. Great location. Window faced the pool. Door Faced the parking lot. We kept the fan on so we did not here any noise at all. Two comfy double beds. Refridgerator and microwave. Clean shower/tub combo. Fresh linens. Small round table with two comfy chairs to eat at if need be. A desk. Nice size TV. Plenty of room for two adults and two tween girls! Breakfast met our needs. Cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, danish, toast, buttermilk biscuits, bagels, apples, oranges, juice, etc.

BEST PART: LOCATION!

Stayed there for 10 nights in Nov/Dec and liked it. Location cannot be beat. Room was fine, clean, staff was excellent, we don't have any complaints.

We are staying there again for another 10 nights in Nov/Dec of this year, but this time we are upgrading to a mini-suite. We found the double bed situation to be a bit cramped.

Recently stayed at the HoJo for 4 nights and liked it too...but the walk is farther. Doesn't seem like much the first time you walk to the park, but after a few days of all day in the park and walking back and forth, we really came to appreciate the location of the BWPPI a lot.

The BWPPI is my top choice for off property accomidations. I have never had a bad stay there and will be staying again when I go in May. It has been my experience with BW in general that they always have clean rooms (no dirty carpets) and helpful staff. I think you've made a great decision in picking BWPPI and it is right across the street from DL. I don't think you can get much closer other than GCH, even DLH and PPH walking to the gates is longer than BWPPI.

Its about as cheap and close as you can get! Do feel good about it. If those are your priorities, BWPPI is definitely the way to go. There are several hotels right next to BWPPI (Desert Inn, MFFI, HoJo) that are also cheap, and arguably slightly nicer (I favor Marriott FFI for points and niceness, but it adds about another 5-7 min walk), but none is closer than BWPPI in the under $200/night range. :thumbsup2

We stayed there in January and will be going back again in a few weeks. The walk is so nice after a long day.

Thank you so very much for your feedback.

We received our confirmation and I can rest easier.

I knew this was the right place to ask. :thumbsup2

We are very excited about this trip. :goodvibes
Our kids are part of the Foothill High School Band and have been invited to Disney to record in the studio and play in the parks for this weekend.

Another vote of confidence for BWPPI- I stayed there for the first time since I was a teenager (ie: a long time ago, when I wasn't the one planning/paying for the Disney trips ) last month. And I'm planning to stay there for a week in December, for my usual birthday/holiday trip! Not only is the location unbeatable (right across the street from the main entrance of the Park...it was less than 5 minutes from my room to the turnstiles), the room was clean & comfortable, the staff were super-helpful and nice, and the price was right. :thumbsup2

You made a great decision!! We have stayed at BWPPI the last two years and loved it! In fact, we will be returning at the beginning of April for another week stay there. We actually prefer it over HoJo due to location and the breakfast. The rooms aren't fancy but they are clean, large, and the staff has always been nice. The included continental breakfast is a nice bonus, too, as it's enough to get us going in the morning. The proximity is wonderful, especially at the end of the day or towards the end of your stay.:thumbsup2

We have done BWPPI and it is good choice for location and a solid hotel for room quality. Not spectacular - the pool is small - but it has worked for us.

Please do update this thread and let us know how it goes. I'll be at the BWPPI just a couple of weeks after you. Thanks. :)

I will try . . . it does sound like it will be just the thing we are looking for!

Well.... based on this thread (and countless hours of research) I finally booked the BWPPI for our group family DL vacation in Sept.
I volunteered to book it for 3 families and 2 sets of Grandparents so I had a lot of people to please!

I got 3x Q mini suites & one King room.
*Jan* who took my reservation was very helpful & pleasant on the phone and my email confirmations arrived within minutes. Sõ far so good!

Good choice! We've stayed there 2x and would stay again in a heartbeat. The location can't be beat! Rooms are just ok, nothing special, but they were clean. You made a good choice!!

Great review. These types of threads are what make the Disboards so helpful. :thumbsup2

Love the detailed info on breakfast items....thanks. Sounds like one could grab some danish's, apples, hard boiled eggs etc. & happily munch on breakfast while waiting first in line at the turnstiles (following a 6 min. stroll). :hippie:

I just called the bwppi to confirm my reservation and crib, and to let them know that Von's would be making a delivery. No problem!

Gonna bump this thread here. This is the hotel that me and the fam are staying in for our week-long trip at the end of August.

There are a few questions that I have...

I am intensely anal about cleanliness, and I mean really high strung. Hotel showers and sinks and toilets really skeeve me out even if they're top notch. If there is a small stain on the bedsheets I will ask for new ones. Are the rooms super clean? Specifically, how would they compare to DLH before renovations? I found the bathrooms to be a little on the skeevy side (for me) before reno's. Not bad, just in need of a facelift and a little old.

2) Are there any perks for the park? (Ie. Discounts, early entry, etc)

Hearing that makes me a little nervous. I have read reviews that mentioned paint chipping, small stains or burns on the carpet, dirty carpets, and peeling wallpaper, etc. Look on tripadvisor and read to make an educated decision and see pics of the bathrooms. I haven't stayed at BWPPI but I had booked them before and unfortunately had to cancel. I researched them a lot and they looked clean to me, but you admitted your standards were high. Those are things that wouldn't bother me necessarily since the place is so close, but may bother you! If you need something extremely pristine, you might have to stay at a much higher star hotel farther away (driving distance).

2) Are there any perks for the park? (Ie. Discounts, early entry, etc)
You will get one early entry with a park hopper of 3 days or more no matter where you stay. Other than that, the only people that get additional early entries are those that stay on-site. There are no perks for staying at BWPPI.

:thumbsup2

It was very clean when we were there last year. I'm really anal about hotel rooms as well and I didn't notice anything icky at all.
