Reunited: Carole King & James Taylor

I bought tickets to this concert today which won't be until June, but I am sooooo excited to go.n n I've seen them both seperately in recent years and they were both awesome. And to see them together....well, it's like a dream come true to me. We're seeing them at Mohegan Sun and will probably make a weekend of it. I began trying online right at 10 this morning and it took me a while to get through. The show is officially sold out and they added another show the next day.

Anyone else plan on seeing this show?

My mother bought tickets to the Mohegan's show this morning as well. She was disappointed; she got on right at 10 a.m. and couldn't get any mid-price tickets. But she's glad that we'll see them together. We've seen James Taylor solo at Mohegan's, in '06, I think, and we've also seen Carole King 2x, once at Mohegan's and once at Foxwoods.

We're also going with Mum's friend Louise...and it's a birthday treat; Mum's birthday is June 14

I went to a James Taylor concert when I was a young teen (can't remember the exact year). Near the end of the great concert, Carly Simon came out and they did Mockingbird. The crowd went wild. She had given birth only a few weeks prior to that concert, so no one expected her to show up.

It's still one of my best concert memories ever!

I was really interested in this show, but decided $115 a ticket for an arena seat in Nashville was a bit much. I think I'd pay that much for a concert hall type arrangement, but not an arena seat. I've seen JT several times in concert; he really is great fun!
