Returning item in park

Not sure if this is the right place for this but here I go...

My husband bought me an ear hat as a surprise embroidered with my name back in January... It was dark, park was closing... I guess when he picked the item up didn't notice that it looked like it was previously embroidered then removed. It looks really noticeable in light and its really disappointing. We have the receipt but its been over 30 days (just haven't been able to make it back to the park, finally going back this weekend) and no tags bc I was excited at the time and removed them to wear it. I really want the hat, just want an exact exchange.

Just wondered if anyone had some insight or experience with something like this. :-/

o would take it in and see if they will help you. I have heard people say that they have been able to take things back like that and then others have said that they have been told no because it was to old. I think this might be a case of " your mileage may vary" but in all honesty I would hope that they would give you a new hat.

Yeah, that's kind of what I've read too. Hopefully they'll do some sort of exchange. I'd even take store credit. I really just want a new hat as I really like it but it's kind of disappointing knowing someone else's name used to be there.

I always found their customer service people to be really great. Take the hat back, I am sure that they will give you a replacement

Called the merchandise number over lunch just to get a confirmation I could exchange and they told me there should be no issue. My receipt is over 30 days, but she said we stand by our merchandise and that the item I received was unacceptable so it shouldn't be a problem. I can just take it back and swap it out.
