1) Checked into Royal Pacific 9:30am for Club Level and rooms (adult children and ours) still not available until after 4:00pm! Marco Pizza Convention checked in after 4:00 and all their rooms were ready. I had to beg and carryon for my rooms to be available on time. We were up since 3:00am. NOT nice and not fair. Will not stay there again.
2) Universal studios and IOA crowded but we had Express so no issues. Volcano Bay had Cabana and we really enjoyed it! Halloween Horror for husband and son - they enjoyed. Son said 2019 was better. Daughter and I had drinks at Hard Rock Hotel - Velvet Sessions, listened to great singer Marcus. Ate at Chocolate Emporium slow service.
3) Swan hotel nice, but did not like buses - used Uber. Boats are slow and noticed something. I am from NYC and everyone talks about how rude we are - well I am 65 and when on subway someone always offers me a seat. I don't always take if short ride. On crowded boat not one person offered my husband and I a seat. They could have put their 3 year old on their lap or told their teenager to get up, but didn't. We are healthy, but just surprised at people. Did not like that Garden Grove not open M-W, but ate in Dolphin. Requested cleaning daily and received it. Liked but would not stay again.
4) We ate at Blue Zoo - fantastic Shula's - fantastic Il Mulino - family dinner 14 of us, food fantastic service horrendous. Did not even ask if we wanted coffee. We paid dearly for a private room and were practically ignored. NEVER again!
5) Ate at California Grill - fantastic too. Also, at at Biergarten which was good. Yak & Yeti always amazing. Drinks and show at Raglan Road. Enjoyed.
6) Got boarding group for RoR and it was a horror - delayed two hours, finally got on and it broke down. They offered to ride again any time that day. We had California grill reservations and then Boo Bash but went back after dinner. Got on and 3/4 way on it broke down again. It was now close to closing at HS so had to get over to MK. They offered any ride we wanted in the next 15 min, but no future date for RoR - I found that Disney Magic does not exist anymore and we have been going for 25 years. It is not the same at all! They care nothing about their guests. We went for drinks at bar by Ohana and had to wait for bartender. When I asked if he could take our order, he said he had to collect glasses. He was really nasty, my daughter and I were so surprised.
7) Lastly, went to Oga's. Hype for nothing. Squeezed together with no seating when table was open. I guess only for special people. I pulled over the side tables no one uses and my husband and I sat while my kids stood. Other older people did the same. No reason they can't have high chairs for people. Drinks were good as well as meats and cheese, but no special feeling. Just tight and without end tables to sit on, not worth the time and effort. Not even a bathroom inside - long walk to one. Really ridiculous. Another couple, who were way younger said - imagine working hard to get a reservation to stand at a crowded little table.
Thanks for reading. Love Disney and Universal but maybe I'm too old or maybe people aren't as nice. Either way, disappointed.
