Piglet--me--50 year old trip planner
Tigger-my forty-something cousin
Pooh-Tiggers 8 year old daughter
MAY 23: MK AND DTD
Up early and to MK. Made a trip through FantasyLand and then to Splash and Thunder. Thunder was down and this caused Pooh to get very upset. When we were at the World in September, Thunder was down for rehab and was at the top of Poohs list for this trip. Got on Splash, Thunder was still down. Got a FP for Splash and had about an hours wait. Pooh wanted to play checkers in front of the Shooting Gallery? SO--there I sit in the MK playing checkers! Just could not believe it! Remember, RELAX! Saw the Country Bears and used our FP for Splash. Thunder was still down and Pooh was stressing out. Got a FP for Thunder and then lunch at Pecos Bills. Disney magic--Thunder was running after our lunch, so we had our first ride! Pooh loved it. I thought it was a pretty wild ride for a 50 year old! Did some shopping on the way out and headed back to the resort. Long nap and swim and then to supper at Shoneys. This is Poohs fav place to eat and the one in our town closed. Then to DTD and shopping at the Disney store. Back to the resort and SLEEP! Did pretty good on the relaxing today.
MAY 24: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AT MK
Pooh had stated her desire to spend her birthday at MK. I just refused to do this on a Saturday. This day was our compromise. Got there in time for the opening ceremony and I just loved it! Pooh and Tigger made the dash to Thunder while I took my time and strolled through a near empty MK. Just magical! Also picked up a birthday button. Pooh and Tigger rode Thunder 4 times and then we all took a ride on Splash. 10:30 breakfast with Pooh at Crystal Palace. Food was great and we had a lot of interaction with Eyeore and Pooh. This really is a good time to have breakfast. The place really empties out and you can see the characters a lot. Not as big a birthday thing as Donalds, but nice enough! Got out of Crystal Palace just in time for Surprise Celebration in front of castle. Pooh really liked this. Then on to Tomorrowland. We thought things were really crowded compared to Sept. And it was HOT! Buzz FP was down, so we took a spin on TTA. Lights were on in Space Mountain!! Really cool!! We then did COP, which was a must do on my list. ToonTown was next. Took that in--really hot!! Back thru FantasyLand . HOT and crowded! Picked up a FP for Philharmagic and were just about to melt! Now we got creative. Went in Hall of Presidents and just took a seat. It was arctic in the lobby and felt GREAT! Just sat there--did not even go in the show. We did get up and leave before the lobby got crowded for the next show. This little rest saved us! Saw the parade from in front of HOP and then straight to Philharmagic with FP. This show was wonderful! Took a break and had a Mickey Bar. Then to Buzz. 15 minute wait. I just love this ride! At the exit, a very nice CM named Brad sang Pooh a cute birthday song. Then I realized I left Poohs birthday card from Crystal Palace on the Buzz ride. Straight to Brad, who was VERY helpful. I was in a near panic. That birthday card was priceless! Disney magic! Card showed up right after I asked. Thank you Lord! Rode Buzz again. Did a little shopping and saw Surprise Celebration on the way out. Back to resort for swim and pizza for supper. Did not do too good on the relaxing thing today!
