Wednesday am both DH and DS were sleepy. So I told them I was going over to the MK and would meet them for our breakfast at 1900 Park Fair. I had planned a late breakfast and that worked out well. I took the ferry to MK, arrived before park opening, and headed to Tomorrowland for Space and Buzz as soon as I could. Got in line for Space, grabbed a FP for Space (10:05). I was finished with my first Space ride about 9:20 and went over to ride Buzz. A woman behind me with two little girls and her husband was fussing about the 10 minute wait, so I tried to explain that wasn't long for Buzz at all. I had a great round for me (over 200,000 points), and then had time to ride the TTA before my FP for Space came up. After riding a second time, I headed out for the GF ferry.
The boat captain was careful about waiting for others traveling to the GF or Polynesian, and when I got to the GF, DH had just told the podium workers I wasn't there! We only waited about 10 minutes and were seated. Mary Poppins was meeting people in the lobby, Winnie and Tigger, and the Mad Hatter were in the dining room. Different from any character breakfast I've ever been to Winnie and Tigger did not come to visit us. I'm not sure if that's because DS chose to skip this breakfast, or it was near the end of the time, but the only character who came to see us (and he was wonderful) was the Mad Hatter.
The chef making omelets was excellent. Not only did he do a great job keeping four omelet preferences in his head at once, he carried on lively and funny conversations with guests. I made sure I had some of the strawberry soup (yummy). I did enjoy the breakfast, but my preferences still run to Crystal Palace and Donald's Breakfastasaurus for character buffets.
Don and I decided to see more of the Flower and Garden Show at Epcot. It was time for the monorail. We rode to the TTC and transferred to the Epcot monorail. I was just amazed at how beautiful the topiaries and the beds looked at the monorail looped through Epcot. This was the first time we had been during the Flower and Garden Show, and I sure hope we can do this again.
We spent time poking through Epcot (tried to send a video email, but it never arrived), rode Mission Space, didn't ride Test Track, did Figment, skipped Honey I Shrunk the Audience, spent a lot of time enjoying the rose pathway, and the garden for dogs. We bought some pins, and just enjoyed all the special exhibits for the Show. DH really liked the bonzai in Japan. We (really me) started to fade so took the boat from Germany to the World Showcase area, and walked through Future World back to the buses. Once again the Fort Wilderness bus was right there.
Back at the campsite, I did some laundry and we hung it out to dry on a line. DS was not-so-grumpy, had found others-who-skate, NH girls, and 16 year old MA golf cart driver to hang out with.
We spent time relaxing at the pool. DH continued to develop his relationship with the pool bartender, and even got me a frozen Smirnoff ice.
I called CentraCare (We had picked up a brochure at First Aid in MGM the previous day) and the wait was an hour to an hour and a half, so DS and I headed out to have his sutures removed. Off topic, we had terrible rains the week before we left CT and our basement had a sudden identity change into a well (first time in 25 years). DS' cat got herself down in the cellar and didn't want to get wet to get to the stairs. DS went down to rescue her, slipped, cut his hand and needed 9 sutures. Now it was time to have them out. We used the CentraCare by DTD, easily accessible to Ft Wilderness, driving by the Cypress Resorts. We did wait for a little over an hour, spent the time talking to a young mom from Tucson who was in Orlando for the McDonalds Convention. McD had bought out MK that Thursday. She really would be a great corporate spokesperson. When it was DS' turn, we just waited a little longer, and a lovely MD quickly removed his sutures. She even gave us little packages of antibiotic cream, and bandages, because she understood DS wasn't going to stay completely out of the pool, or Typhoon Lagoon. (The NH girls were going there on Friday). Dan asked for some gloves (he planned to get some hair dye for home and turn himself blue) and the nurses gave him 4 gloves. At check-out, because CentraCare contracts with our insurer, the copay was our usual $10!!
Dan and I stopped at Shake and Steak, I got a malt, he got a shake and grilled cheese with bacon to go. I will eat here again.
Then after a brief trip to Walgreens to get a phone-charger (Dan thought we had one in the car--it was really a TV adaptor), and blue hair dye, we headed back to the Fort.
DH was sound asleep when we got there. I thought it would be fun to watch the fireworks from the beach (last night for Wishes during our stay), so I woke him up (does this make me the grumpy one?) and eventually we headed over to Pioneer Hall. DH scoured up some chairs for us, and with several other groups we saw all the high fireworks from Wishes. It was really a very fun perspective. We decided to walk back to our site, just enjoying the evening.
DS was with his group of friends and he even said he was having a good time.
