I have a question about a present I received for christmas. It's a Duck Dynasty talking Sy head that his beard lights up. Has anyone seen this sold in a store? I'm hoping to return it. I've seen one on Amazon but that was it. It isn't my kind of present and the gifter isn't the kind of person you could ask where she found it. If I can't return I'm thinking a visit to goodwill.

Is it the "Si Says" doll? I had to Google it since I've never seen the show. I can't believe anyone would actually buy a gift like this... :confused3

Anyway, so far, I haven't found any brick & mortar stores that carry it. Maybe check somewhere like Walgreens where they have junk/weird items?

Maybe they got it from Boscov's?

or Walmart?

Check Walmart, Sams Club, Kohl's, Boscov's (if local) and Bed Bath and Beyond websites. They are the best at taking no receipt returns. If its on their website, they will take it back and issue you store credit at least.

DH's work does a nice white elephant exchange for Christmas. They have a corporate relationship so all the gifts come from Sam's Club. We are experienced at this ;) so if DH doesn't get something he likes he normally can find someone to trade with and then we return the gift to Sams Club and get store credit. This year was awesome....he ended up with a $20 tool kit that he didn't need. Traded it to a lady who wanted to gift it to her son for 2 $10 itunes cards. He then traded the two itunes cards to a just out of college co-worker who had gotten a wireless security camera (she lives in a spare room at her aunt's house). Everyone was happy, but us especially since the camera was taken back and we got $80 Sams Club credit for it :thumbsup2

If everything comes from Sam's why even bother to trade the tool kit if you know you can return it? Does the person who gave up the $80 security camera know she got hosed in the deal? I would not be able to do that to one of my co-workers.

We actually have one of these...My ds got one last year for Christmas as a joke. I'm pretty sure that I remember there being a Kohl's UPC on the bottom.

The tool kit was only worth $25. She made the trade...nobody forced her too. That's her own fault for not realizing she could take it back. She was thrilled with her gift cards.

We actually were going to keep the security camera, but when we looked it up it got horrible reviews so we figured it was better to just take it back.

My husband is pretty sure no one realizes how easy it is to return the items and no one puts together that they all come from Sam's. In general, I've found most people don't want to be bothered with returning items.

I would rather trade for something with lower value that I wanted or would use. I hate returning things.

Probably was regifted! Save it and do the same next year.

Yes!!!!!! This is it on walmarts website! I'm hoping that they'll take it as a return since it's on their website !

It's unethical to return an item to a store if you're not 100% certain of the store it was purchased at. If you seriously cannot ask the gift giver where they purchased it, just take the loss and donate it...it was a gift anyway and you're not out any money. Heck, save it for Toys for Tots next year, I'm sure a teen would think it was a funny gift.
