Return Flight Time?

What realistic time should we be looking at regarding return flight times at MCO? We will be taking Disney transportation to the airport after we leave the ship. Is a 3pm time slot too early?

Nope! 3pm is right in my sweet spot. There are many who will say you can go earlier (I think DCL says 11 or 11:30 - but some insist you can go earlier than that), but I'd rather have more down time than be rushed. And TSA at MCO is NEVER a walk in the park.

No, the very latest you are to be off the ship is 9am. We flew out at 2pm after our last cruise and had several hours to kill at the airport.

Also just in case you don't know, but you're to be out of your stateroom by 8am.

That's a pretty good time. We usually fly 1 or 2 pm. We've both sailed through security in a few minutes and waited for 1.5 hours. You just never know. I'd rather get there with lots of time to spare and find a place to sit and read or go to a restaurant or food court than worry about making the flight.

It sounds like the 2 o'clock hour sounds good. We are fine going early and taking our time. We can then hit up the Disney store and Universal store inside the terminal.

Debarking from one contract disney were kind enough to give me an 8pm flight, and were even kinder in dropping us at MCO by 9am...
I had a fellow CM with me till 6, but actually the time went by pretty quick, it's got a good selection of shops/ food and really good wifi for an airport. Also great for people watching.
It felt like it went a lot quicker than my 4 hour wait in Copenhagen or my 6 hour layover in Frankfurt...

I try to book our flights as close to 12pm as possible.
