Costco is running a coupon this week for PE6 at $50 ($30 off their reg $80).
I currently use the editing software that came with my XT, and truth be told, I'm fairly satisfied with it. Perhaps in the same way a driver of an old Yugo is satisfied, having never driven a BMW? Or not so much difference?
That's a great price, and I'm fairly tempted to make the switch.
Pros:
- more users = more advice, literature, speaking the same language
- several generations working out bugs; making enhancements, innovative functions, etc.
Cons:
- if I'm "fairly satisfied" with my current program, do I need to "upgrade" (i.e., is it an upgrade)?
- learning curve
Of course, a review of the Reviews show that some love the PE6, others (with earlier PE versions) state problems, not really an upgrade, etc.
I'm happy to hear your thoughts, reviews, etc!
