Rethinking my Fastpasses

So my fastpass date was actually back in July, but the more I think about my plans, the weirder I think my MK day is. It didn't occur to me that Frontierland/Adventureland weren't open during the morning EMH, and I booked my fastpasses based on other attractions that I knew I didn't want to wait for and thinking we'd rope drop Pirates or something over there before heading to Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and then our BoG reservation at 4:20. After BoG, we'd pick up another fastpass and go from there. All this made sense in my head.

What I have is:
Space Mountain at 10:05
Peter Pan at 12:05
7DMT at 3

The breaks in between are whatever because I figured we'd ride other rides, snack, and shop a little. I feel like I could theoretically get some other stuff done between Peter Pan and 7DMT, but I'm worried about the wait times during Galaxy's Edge madness.

I know that I definitely want Splash, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Big Thunder. I'd like to do Jungle Cruise, but that's not a priority especially if the wait is stupid. I've looked at the wait times for all of those the past few days, and I think the most unmanageable waits are for Splash and Big Thunder. This could always change, but Splash has gone between 85-130 minutes a few times while writing this. I'm hesitant to push my existing fastpasses back because I don't really want to feel rushed at dinner. I like that they're all done before we eat.

We do have hoppers due to the free dining deal, but MK is in morning EMH every day we're there, so it's not as simple as going on a non EMH day and rope dropping one of those.

I'm wondering whether I should:

-Swap Space now with one of the other mountains and just rope drop that
-Rope drop one of my fastpasses and then try to swap my existing fastpass for one of the others. Probably Space or Peter Pan.
-Alternatively, do the previous thing but plan to be at the opening of the other side by 7:45 without switching anything. In this case, I'd probably do Haunted Mansion and work my way down
-Change nothing, maybe get to ride my fastpass attractions twice, and try to get same day fastpasses for the other rides after BoG

We’ve found Peter Pan very do-able at rope drop without FP. Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder and HM are rides that we have been able to hit early in the mornings without FP. Are you intending to hit Galaxy’s edge early afternoon or is that general touring. If general touring, we’d probanly move the Peter Pan FP to an early afternoon Splash. Your touring times 2 hours before and after that 3pm 7DMT will likely be your hottest and busiest if you are staying in the parks all day.

Ok, EMH @ 7, regular park open @ 8.

Start with Space. Cancel that Fastpass. See if you can move the Peter Pan Fastpass up. A lot. Like between 8 and 9. Follow it up immediately with a Haunted Mansion Fastpass.

If you start with Space you can easily hit Buzz and one Fantasyland ride (Winnie the Pooh?) before 8.

@ 8 head to Big Thunder. Then do Splash, Pirates and Jungle Cruise. That should put you in good shape for the later part of your Peter Pan Fastpass window. If you find yourself getting behind or rushing too much the do Pirates after Haunted.

This leaves you without any Fastpasses until SDMT but that can't be helped. Lunch and shows are your friend. So are rides like the Little Mermaid and Small World.

As always, YMMV.

We're not going to Galaxy's Edge. I'm just a little worried about the crowds in other parks if HS is insane.

To spend the least amount of time waiting thoughout the day, fp should start soon after park opening and be back to back. The first three should be near each other-criss crossing the park takes a lot of time. Use the first one at the end of the window, the second at the beginning, and as soon as you tap in try to change the third to start soon. As soon as you use your 3rd, get a 4th, and repeat all day. SDMT at 3 is too late. The park opens at 8, so if you schedule a fp from 9-10 and kept the 10:05, thats five hours without any fp. The line for SDMT will never reach 5 hours. You’ll spend tons of time waiting in line for other attractions. Better to schedule fp early even if 7DMT isn’t an option earlier and just rd 7DMT or get in line shortly before the parade. You’ll still spend less time overall waiting in lines.
