Results of calling MS today for October

So I called MS today for Saturday, October 2. Now that Southwest has extended their schedule, I decided to add this day to my reservation at the BCV during the F&W festival, opening weekend. Gee, no availability at the BCV for a studio? In all honesty, I appreciate that she resisited the urge she must have felt to fall on the floor in laughter and yell "FAT CHANCE, LADY!" So then I asked for a BWV standard view studio. Not surprisingly, that wasn't available, but what was available was a standard view 1 BR. At 6 1/2 months out? I didn't want that, so I asked what WAS available in a studio anywhere. Besides BCV and BWV, only BLT was unavailable. Other than those 3, for whoever might be interested, everywhere else has studio availability still. So I've got VWL, unless my waitlist for BCV comes thru.

We snagged a GV at SSR yesterday on RCI for 10/2 checkin. This will be our first visit to F&W. Was checking both AA and SWA fares ... looks like SWA is a far better deal (right now).

lol,, I am wait listed from the 20 to the 25th... Not sure how likely it is,,, AKL is nice.

We added another night at the start of our next trip, because the airfare was much lower leaving a day earlier than planned. We have a MK view at BLT, which was booked 11 months out. At 7 months, there was no MK view available at BLT for the extra night. So, instead of staying one night in a different room at the same resort... we're staying our 1st night at VWL. We haven't stayed there yet, this will give us an idea what it's like.
BTW... we booked Jetblue from Rochester NY, direct flights both ways for $124. round trip! 1st check bag is free too. Our DD will be 2.5 so she will be ticketed now. Total for all three of us was $436. with taxes/fees.

I've had good luck with wait lists...especially since people have to cancel 31 ( or mare days in advance)....last time the wait list request went through on 32nd day prior to check in.

We are planning to book a 1 BR at BLT for2 nights and a 1 BR at AKL/Kidani in late October. My 7th month window opens up next Monday...wish me luck...Ive called a few times to check avaiability and it looks very possible that I will get it...if not, I will be waiting (but not patiently) on the wait list as well...

I know for sure that one of the reservations is for 10/23 to 10/31. I'm not sure on the the other one; its for the 2nd week of October starting on a Saturday and going through the following Sunday.

I haven't cancelled either one yet because I'm hoping my dog sitter would like to use one of them. We aren't going to Egypt until November so I wanted to give my dog sitter a week at WDW as a thank you for watching my two dogs in November. As soon as she lets me know, I'll be cancelling one or both of these weeks.

Me too! Even had a cruise booked and canceled it.
