Hello all,
Originally, I was going to WDW in December, but was in an accident and spent my week's vacation in the hospital instead.
On June 3rd, in the car accidents I shattered my shoulder. The ortho surgeon was able to wire the humeral bone back together along with several muscle groups and I now have a spiffy new humeral head. After 7 weeks, I still have a lot of pain and swelling and can only move my shoulder in any direction about an inch. My doctor told me it's about as good as it'll get.
I've now figured out how to manage a long weekend in November, taking advantage of the Veterans Day holiday.
I just can't go the year without Disney, especially when I had the Christmas trip all planned out.
My question is...Does anyone have any experience with shoulder replacement or reconstruction? Is there anything I'll be able to ride on? (Besides IASW
) and what might I expect in another 3 months. I actually think what the dr said was unacceptable. I'm determined to have my movement back, but it's a very slow process.
Thanks for any replies!
