Restrictions to bounceback offer?

I called yesterday to add a day to the free dining promo I booked last year with the bounceback offer. Because we already had 10 days I was told that promo would not allow me to add another day, however the "free dining" promo would allow me to add up to 14 days. Thus, I need to switch from one offer to another before the penalty date in order to get 11 days. Currently the resort I booked is not available with the "free dining offer". I'm so frustrated- I booked this early, made a commitment to come to WDW, they've had my money since last year, etc. If I'd have known about this, then I'd have just booked it again with the Disney Visa offer and cancelled the bounceback offer. Anyway, sorry to digress....but it's seems stupid to me to have these offers, which are identical, with two different policies...and to restrict the people who booked it early. Hrrmph. Anyone else encounter this issue? Thank goodness the CM I spoke with was extremely patient in explaining all of the above to me but I'm sure they get frustrated too. ---Kathy

cna you add one day at a regular rate and forefit the Free DDP. It is not fair and doesn't seem right since as you said, you committed long ago, but it may be your only option. Last yr we did 10 days, we also booked for 10 this yr because I was told that was the max, the boards enlightened me and I called back to add more. Hope you can get a better suggestion from someone else.
Also, try calling back a few times and see if it opens up before the free dining ends, I think it's the 24th of this month, I found that happens a lot with the ADR's one week full a month later all seating times available.
Good luck

Thanks for the suggestion- sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I have a DVC reservation following the one at Pop but wanted the one Sat. night to add to the bounceback ressie due to higher point costs on Sat. with DVC. When I originally made the bounceback res we were planning on going on the Sept. 15th DCL cruise but now my son's on a kidney transplant list so I don't want to go out of the country. Oh well, I'm grateful we have plans to go to Disney at all and will look at it that way, but it just seems like those of us who made our decision way back in 06 ( and some people even flew in to make a bounceback ressie during the time they were offered) should be able to stay just as long as those on the other promo. I'm checking the website each day and playing around with dates to see if I can make a new ressie and if so, will cx. the bounceback one or just bite the bullet and keep the DVC night with the extra points. Ugh...planning is sometimes a major ordeal. I think I had a better time "mentally" when I didn't know all the ins and outs of Disney reservations-lol. ---Kathy
