Restricted diet available at DL???? Updated 10/21

It's actually possible they were having serious phone issues that week. Chef Chris took two days to get back to me, but had called the day before and couldn't get through. Even the number DD put me through to never answered (just rang and rang) like the number I called directly, so they might have been the same number.:goodvibes

The link first mentioned pulled up a 2005 page and there is also another 2008 page - here is the link in case someone needs it. This is the email I used for Chef Chris. I don't know their phone numbers as disney dining transferred me to their extension. The number in the article may be correct. It is a different number than the first article referenced earlier in the thread.

But Chef Chris emailed me today and then I got a voicemail from Chef Bill as well stating that they were contacting me via email so both of them answered me today.

Here is his email: Chris.Justesen@disney.com
the phone number (from the article) is 714 781-4650

Thank you so much for the updates! I'm so glad that you got some answers.:) Because there has been so much confusion and different info. given out, I decided to call Disney Dining about an hour ago. I basically wanted to know what the updated phone numbers were and which chefs to contact for what areas. The CM that I spoike to (Karen) was really sweet and I spent about 20 minutes with her on the phone. I told her that there were a bunch of us who needed this info. and that a lot of us were told different things. She totally understood and said that she would e-mail me some info. with contact numbers, etc. The info. that she had was from 2006 ! It seems that somebody needs to give the CM's at Dining some recent information. She really wanted to help, but had nothing current given to her. (More in next post.....:)

(Continued from above) :)

The CM at Dining gave me a phone number that we could call to have a chef contact us with any dining/diet questions. I'm not at home right now and the phone number is there, so I will post it when I return home. She was unable to tell me which chefs were in charge of which areas. She had names of Chef Toby, Chef Chris, and Chef Bill, but it was not clear to her what areas they were in charge of. She said she had Bill Orton listed as the chef at Paradise Pier only, and Chef Chris listed as being in charge of some of the DL park restaurants. She did confirm, as others have on here, that the list is still available at City Hall, and also that the chefs at each restaurant have a list of ingredients in each dish that they prepare so that people can view it when they are there. She said she didn't think it was possible to get any kind of ingredient list until we were actually at the restaurant. As far as the "Allergy List" at City Hall, not being available, maybe it was the wording that threw off the CM's there, although it shouldn't have. (More on next post).:)

(Continued again....My LONG post....LOL):)

It seems that the CM's there are used to the reference to the "Gluten-Free" list, but maybe not allergies in general. I haven't seen the list, so I'm not sure if there are other types of "allergies" listed there, or if it just for people looking for gluten-free foods. I think this is the main thing that they are most used to hearing. Although, it seems that once you get to the restaurants, the chefs will work with just about any other allergy that someone has. :)

Thanks for finding that! I knew it was an old link but for some reason couldn't find the page for the right link this time.

I was using the newer link, I think, when I called a few months ago, but I can't guarantee that.

When I chatted with Chef Chris, he had me tell my son (who desperately NEEDED me as soon as I got on the phone, LOL) that he had just brought a sandwich to Mickey Mouse. :goodvibes (and then I told him that they needed to get rid of Uncrustables b/c they are full of junk and he had never read the ingredients in them!!!)

Thanks for the name clarification and contact information for Chris. I'll make sure my friends know who they can contact to find safe food for their kids.
