restraints on EE

Can anyone tell me what type of restraints there are in EE and is the seat divided? We have 1 small person and 1 x-large person in our group. Thanks

EE uses just plain lap bars, and yes, the seat is divided. I was a bit concerned about the restraints when I first saw them..I thought they would be too loose for DS...but they were just fine! The lap bar came right down on his legs, and the seat divider wasn't such that I couldn't put my arm around him to make sure he was extra safe.

There are 2 seats per row that are divided by a small wall type thing. There is a front bar that pulls down as the only restraint.

That is a link to pictures of the ride vehicles. Other Disers please correct me if I'm mistaken but I believe that there is a test seat outside of the ride if you want to test it for comfort.

The last time we were there the test seat had been broken but people wanting to check could ask a cm and be brought to the test car that was backstage.

bumping....I am a bit nervous after an experience I had this summer at an amusement park at home (it was a very old roller coaster with divided seats). My sons really want to go on this ride, but I do have a big.. bottom. I don't want to get all the way thru the line have them get in only to find that I can't. The all ears link makes me feel better, but I think I will take the time to ck out seat in gift shop area just to be sure. Can anyone compare it to BTMRR...I'm fine on that, Space Mountain was fine too. I wish my husband would just do this one, but he's chicken!

Yes indeed. The worst part about SM is getting in and out of the vehicle. Let's face it...you just can't be graceful on SM.

I'm more front (belly)heavy than bottom (tushy)heavy, and I have no trouble with BTMRR. On EE, they suggest standing up a little if you have any trouble with the lap bar when you need to get it locked in place...I do this on EE and ride with joy!
