I want to book a meal with the characters and the reviews steer me towards inventions and cafe mickey, can anyone tell me what the price is for inventions buffet and a rough cost for Cafe Mickey meals?

Thanks

Thankyou - So leading to my next question - I have a 4 yr old and 5 yr old - and I would like to do the character option - what would you recommend?

personally i would recommend cafe mickey. We went to both restaurants last week. In my opinion Inventions is quite fancy food for fussy eaters like my hubby and kids. They had chicken strips and mickey mouse shaped potatoes as that was the simpliest things at the buffet. The atmosphere is really lovely tho, very relaxed and not as roudy as Cafe Mickey but my kids loved the noise and buzz of cafe mickey. CM's dancing on a stand, mickey and friends doing the konga around the restaurant. Brill:rotfl:

At Cafe Mickey, you can pick from the menu, we usually have pizza to share (the pizzas are huge) and get some soft drinks, maybe dessert. For a character experience, I've only had great times at Cafe Mickey in the evening (although it does get very busy and therefore noisy), and I'd recommend that for your little ones. I haven't been to Inventions though, its too expensive for me I'm afraid.

Cant help you with that option im afraid, we ate at Auberge de Cendellion on Sunday.

Dont think you'll beat Cafe Mickey, kids get a keepsake juice cup too:banana:

oh i love it!

So I think it looks like a booking @ Cafe Mickey is the order of the day then.

2 more days to go.

This will be our 2nd trip and I only went the 1st time last year because my sister kept going on about how much the kids would love it. I was never a disney fan, more Looney tunes! Even avoided Disney when we went to Orlando 5 yrs ago.

However I have to say I enjoyed it very much, the theming is just so perfect.

So the 4 of us this time, DS who is 5 DD who is 3.5 and DW who is **cough**

Kids have absolutely no idea that they are going - and will only find out when we get there (going on the tunnel instead of the ferry so they won't even know they are in france).

We are staying for 4 nights in the Santa Fe (we did Cheyenne last time). Looking forward to :

Phantom Manor
ToyStoryLand
Stitch Live
Tower of Terror (DD was too little last time and got very upset she couldn't go).

Up at 4am to catch the 6.50am Train from Folkestone to Calais then 3 hour drive to Disney.

Have a nice shiny DSLR so hope to get some good pics with the characters

ooooh sounds fantastic. i would love to do a surprise trip but my 3 year old is as disney mad as me so she helps me plan. i know it sounds bonkers but yes she does have an opinion on everything, she even picked out where we are eating :rotfl2:

we go to cafe mickey every trip. i have always enjoyed it. we prefer to go at lunchtime as it is quieter. either way you cant go wrong with cafe mickey. i just order pizza and share it will my dd. it ends up being our cheapest meal of the week lol
