I am in the process of planning our trip during Spring Break. And when we went last time during Spring Break, the restaurants on Harbor were always packed and the wait times over an hour. I do not want to make that same mistake again. Can anyone suggest some places off site for dinner where I can make reservations? Last time we ate at Joe's Crab Shack, Red Robins, and some other place I cannot remember. They were so packed out. I don't mind driving 10 or 15 minutes away. We will be staying at HOJO's. I already plan on doing one night at Mimi's.

Thanks!

Check the new Garden Walk in Anaheim, lots of new restaurants. BUT there will be waits because it's spring break. I don't know that you will find little or no wait anywhere at that time. Check with the individual restaurants to see if you can make reservations.....you can make them also at RFC and Jazz Kitchen and other restaurants in DTD. :)

Ditto checking out Garden Walk. We ate at Bubba Gumps there a few months back and it was very good. We were there pretty early (for us) 6ish, I think, and it was not busy. It wasn't a holiday period though. They have alot of restaurants there to choose from. Check out their website

With all these retaurants opening up it should help reduce the wait at others as well.

If you don't mind driving, there's alot more to choose from. Just depends on what you like to eat. You can jump on the 5 fwy and go south to Main Place. There's quite a few restaurants there. They have an Olive Garden, Here's their dining link.

Also, not that much further is one of my favorite Japanese Restaurants. It's Shiki, located on Katella at the 55 (Newport) freeway. They have some of the best Japanese food around. Don't let the exterior, or location, fool you. It's really good. They've been there for over 30 years.

There are also some good restaurants, in Orange, located east of DLR, on Katella, just past the 57 (Orange) fwy. It's the Century Stadium Promenade, I think. I know there's a King's Fish House there (very good) and several others.

Also, close by, by freeway (5 south to the 22 east, first exit) is the Block at Orange There are alot of restaurants there too.

Here's there link

Have fun!
