We were on Galiano in 1994, when we took a group of summer camp kids on a two week bike trip through the islands. A much-loved professor of mine from graduate school lives on Salt Spring. I really enjoyed that island too.

We have a summer place on Whidbey. I do wish we lived there year round. Maybe when the kids are grown.

I was working at the ferry terminal then (still am), so we might have met. LOL We still get lots of bike groups, especially kids.
I ahve always wanted to go to Widbey. My kids have relatives there (through their Dad) and it always sounded so neat!

Our faves are Mimi's and Millie's on Harbor, and Coco's on Katella. Went in Tiffy's to ask something and I think that's the one connected to an ice cream parlor...the sickeningly SWEET smell of the waffle cones or something nearly knocked me out. I couldn't have eaten anything there with the way-too-sweet smell in there.
