We're hoping to go to Cocoa Beach for the dayand I was wondering if anyone can recommend someplace good....somewhere with a beach atmosphere...and casual? I thought that while over on the Coast we would also try and see a cruise ship or two launch...has anyone done this? Any suggestions?

Try Gregorys Steak and Seafood, its part of the Ocean Landings complex. Not sure of the address, but it backs onto the beach and is next to a Holiday Inn.
We ate there twice last year and the food was excellent and the restaurant was used by lots of locals. Might be advisable to book or go early.

we happened upon the Mango Tree in cocoa beach while in Daytona for a conference. One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. Gourmet, but not fussy (I was in a sundress and sandals and felt appropriately dressed.) Definitely worth a special night out.
