Ok,
So at the moment I have my mind set on Citrico's Chef's Domaine for a reception meal after our Escape wedding.

However,
What if it ends up being unavailable for whatever reason?
I figure I need a back up.

There will be 12 of us in total, which is why this location would be perfect, I believe it seats a maximum of 14.

I know there are a couple of rooms at the Cali Grill for private hire, but the minimums are quite high, and they both seem suited to larger groups.

Is there anywhere else anyone knows about that might be suitable??
I figure that there are so many restaurants on property that there must be some more with private rooms...

We're hoping for a dessert party as well later on, so it's really a restaurant we're looking for.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :goodvibes

I don't think you need to worry about it being unavailable. Citricos was rehabbed last year. ;)

However, the other private options, including buying out the whole restaurant, are Fulton's Crab House ($2,500-$4,000  ), Gardenview Tea Room (restaurant lunchtime buyout on Tuesdays and Saturdays only, $500; available for buyout from 7pm-9pm daily for $1,000), Jiko ($2,500 for half the room), Narcoossee's (breakfast and lunch, $1,500), and Victoria & Albert's ($2,000 for one seating or $3,000 to have it the whole night).

You may also be able to arrange a small private event in one of the smaller ballrooms, but it will have food and beverage minimums.

Raglan Road, Portobello and Yachtsman Steakhouse all have semi-private areas that are separated from the main dining room. These are great because you don't have to pay for them or order off a special menu (if you have fewer than 13 people).

:thumbsup2

Thanks for all this information Carrie! :thumbsup2 I'm really still hoping for the Chef's Domaine, so don't really want to pick an alternative yet, but it's very useful to have the information there.

Why would last year's rehab mean it shouldn't be unavailable?

Ooohh... I get it - you meant it might be unavailable because someone else had booked it! :upsidedow

I thought you meant it might be unavailable because they were rehabbing the restaurant, like they are with Portobello at Downtown Disney....

Ah right! D'oh! Yeah, I'm just worried in case someone else snaffles it before me mainly, but as I said "for whatever reason", so at least I should be safe on the rehab front! :thumbsup2

Meryll-
I can't remember off the top of my head when your date is, but my WC (well, my temporary WC since Tanis is out on maternity leave) was able to "tentatively" book 1/2 the Wine Room at Jiko for me. I don't know what that means, but I was happy he offered to do it!! I guess it means this way they know someone wants the space on the day/time...As of Nov. 1, we can confirm etc. since that will be 6 months out from the date...

You might want to ask if your WC can do something like that for you, I know we don't always get the same answers from our WC's (tee hee, not Water Closets!!):rotfl: But it wouldn't hurt to ask!!

Thanks Lori, I'll definitely give this a try! (We have another 7 months to go til we can do our ADR's yet)

We had ours at the YSH and it was fantastic! Another choice is the wine room at California Grill. Not sure about minimums but it's a beautiful room with a gorgeous view of Bay Lake.
