Does any one know if non-military can make reservations or eat at the restaurants at Shades of Green?

I doubt you can make reservations and you can't drive onto the property, but last time I checked they do not check ids to use the buses. They also do not check ids for the restaurants I have gone to but they do check ids for the shops and ticket sales.

So the answer is while they may be designed for those staying at the resort as long as you learn how to take the buses and are willing to do so you could eat at the restaurants.

When we stayed there last Jan. you had to have a military or resort ID to ride the bus. They did not check our IDs when we were walking in, but they easily could have. With the current threat against military families from ISIS, I wouldn't count on being able to get into the resort without ID.

That is a change from the last time we stayed- I certainly understand it with the threat that is happening now.

I guess it shows just how sheltered my life in a small town really is, but this never even occurred to me. That being said, I understand and agree with any extra security they feel is necessary to protect the lives of our military and their families.
