Restaurant Threads

Dear DIS admin,

I'm curious as to why we have endless pages of pictures, and food threads. Why don’t we make a thread for each restaurant and only put pictures from that restaurant in that thread, and only discuss the food in that restaurant in that thread? Is it just too much information, or too much work, or has no one considered this idea? Just a suggestion, and I’m happy to help if you need people to work on it, or get it started. Thanks!

This way one may go to a specific thread, to see specific food, and read specific reviews for said specific restaurants.

lol, ok.... well, that's why I asked...

I try to plan ahead, and I enjoy seeing a picture of the food before I order blindly. I hate to eat a bad meal, and a picture, can fill in some blanks that a description alone can not do...

Are there any tips or pointers, or suggestions you can give me to navigate easier? I find looking thru the food porn threads to be exhausting when looking for a specific place or dish... Or I'll find something that looks wonderful and want to show the DH when he gets home, and by then I've forgotten where I found the picture....

I would rather see one long thread of food porn; then tons of threads on each restaurant.

It isn't like the resorts, where there are not that many; it fits perfectly on the resort boards.

But on the restaurant board, it would be too much.

There's really no suitable way to maintain these pictures other than confining them to a single thread. You may wish to try the Dining Reviews board, and look for reviews of specific restaurants - many of the reviews are accompanied by photos.

The dining review board, never been there. I will check that out.
