I'm making ADR for our trip in June, 8 days. It's 2 adults and 3 children ages 8, 11 and 16. So far I have booked Whispering Canyon, 'Ohana, Rain Forrest cafe at Animal Kingdom, Chef Mickey's and T-Rex. We are on the dining plan. Any suggestions on not to miss restaurants or would you cancel one of the reservations already made? Have all reservations booked for dinner time between 6 and 7pm. Thinking 'Ohana one day for breakfast. Suggestions for breakfast or dinner. We've done the Crystal Palace before for dinner and not interested, is breakfast better then the dinner? What time would you would you recommend for breakfast?

We love 1900 PF and Mama Melrose.

Crystal Palace breakfast is yummy...Maybe a final seating timeslot? I prefer Tusker, but you're already seeing most of those characters at CM.

Is Mama Melrose the one at Hollywood Studios? Think we've eaten there for lunch and was really good. It's been over 6 years since we been.

I'd drop Rainforest Cafe for either Yak & Yeti or Tusker House.

Cosign! Tusker House and Yak & Yeti are two of my favorite table service restaurants on property, not just in Animal Kingdom. However, the atmosphere at Rainforest Café is really neat. If you don't have one in your area, it's still worthwhile going to if you can't get in at the other places.

I think the breakfast at Crystal Palace is excellent, and there is just something magical about walking down an (almost) empty Main Street.

T-Rex was probably our worst meal. Even my 8 year old said she wouldn't go back, she even said the whole atmosphere was too over the top and "babyish". I think your older kids might think it's a bit lame, and the food was rubbish.

We were also big fans of tusker house and Crystal Palace breakfast.
Another of our favourites which I think all your kids would like is Sci-fi, it's just fun.

We really disliked Crystal Palace breakfast. The only way I'd recommend it is if you can get a reservation an hour before park opens so you can get in early and get it out of the way but even then I'd be hesitant. Food is always subjective but with the ages of the kids I'd consider Teppan Edo and Raglan Road. Our kids always enjoy the food/entertainment at Teppan Edo and Raglan Road has some of the better food (we thought) on property.

For quick service you should strongly consider Wolfgang Puck Express Marketplace if you are going to be in Disney Springs for a lunch. Very good quality and a great deal on the dining plan.

If you are on the dining plan, I'd highly recommend Be Our Guest for a pre park opening breakfast.

We never eat breakfast out when on the DDP. It is not a good use of a credit.
What about one of the wonderful International restaurants in Epcot World Showcase. During a 7 night stay we eat there on average 4 nights. There is something for everyone.

I'd check out SciFi Dine-in! The kids would probably get a kick out of the old monster movie previews. The theming is really fun and the food is good. Nothing gourmet but I've always been happy with the burgers there.

If you're heading over to Disney Springs one night, see if there is an opening at Raglan Road on Open Table. The band is entertaining and the atmosphere is very family friendly. It's one of our must-do restaurants on every trip.
