Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

We ate at Akershus once before it was a character meal.
DH loved it, me not so much. Not my kind of food.....too much seafood and pickled things

I like some pickled things, LOL. (must be the German in me.) Pickled beets, yum.

I like pickled beets okay......usually on a green salad, but not pickled herring and creamed seafood things  I find those look terrible and I don't like the texture thing going on with them.
the meats were good though.
But since it is now a character dining experience, I don't see us going back anyway.

I haven't eaten there either. Doing this thread has made me realise how little we actually eat in the parks and how much we spend eating at the resorts!!

We use to eat there before it became all princess all the time. (Same for CRT.) Have some good memories of there.
Always had good food and service.
Actually, with the changeover we started going to Biergarten and liked that just as well, if not better.
But it was smart they went to all princess as Akershus use to be dead, at least whenever we were there. Now they seem to be packed, judging by all the strollers and kids around the entrance.

Not us! With 3 picky boys it never seemed like a good idea. I honestly don't now if DH or I would have liked it either.

ROTD.....2-1

Akershus

We decided to go to the princess dinner several years ago and will never return. Just didn't go for this type of food. It was overpriced and didn't like the food. On another note the princesses were wonderful, my nieces loved this part of the meal, as well as the teenage guys in our party.

The bread pudding is soooo good!!
I also like the honey lime dressing.

We like 'Ohanas a lot. Have been 4 times I think.
DDIL and DS thought it was the best place we ate last June.

We have been there 2 - 3 times. But not for years. Each time was fine. Nothing outstanding. Nothing bad. Just not had a burning desire to return.

Never been there. But a good friend was there over Thanksgiving and said it was awful. They go to WDW a lot, so it wasn't their first time, but this fall she wasn't impressed at all.
