Snow...what's that? It's currently rainy here with temps around 8C. No snow in sight. Looks like we are going to have a rainy Christmas on the WET COAST.:goodvibes

It is 28 degrees right now and we have about 8 inches of snow. It snowed over night but hasn't snowed today, but none of it has melted as the temperature hasn't got above freezing all day.

You have my sympathies Danauk. Last year we got over a 3 foot dumping of the white stuff over 3 days around Dec 23 to 25. It took weeks for the weather to warm up enough to get rid of it, so I feel for everyone who has to deal with it, especially those who are foolish to head out in it with all season tires (cars on ice!).

No snow in WA....cool. We got a couple of inches a couple of weeks ago.
Here in AZ :sunny: NO snow!! :yay: 50s right now, but warming up into the 60s.

Last year was horrible....we got about 15" right before we needed to go to the airport and since I am rural and up a hill, the roads never got cleared before we has to leave for the airport. It was a very, nerve-wracking 45 minutes to go the 10 miles to the interstate.

Our last storm left us with about 24 inches of snow and the temp is about 30 right now, some of the snow has melted but most of it is still there, we've had sun in the afternoons. Next storm heading our way is over the weekend, I heard Christmas day at first, now I believe it has change to Saturday, we'll have to wait and see.

Last time I checked, the temp was about 34º, it has been snowing all day, from BIG fluffy flakes in the AM to light flakes, but constant, and enough to keep DH at work from 7am to midnight, mostly salting the roads, not plowing. We needed to shovel, but it wasn't too bad - yet! Predictions are for freezing rain/sleet/snow the next 2 days. Luckily, we aren't traveling far for Cmas Eve, less than 1 mile to my DBro's. :thumbsup2 It's Chicago. We're used to it - don't LIKE it, but used to it. ;)

We have 4 stockings hanging next to our fireplace. One for each of my sons and one for my dog Misty. This year I'm putting gift cards in their stockings, since my guys are in college they like eating at fast food places inbetween the school's meals, they need a break sometimes. So I put places like Hardees, Little Caesars Pizza, Burger King, Subway, KFC etc. Than my youngest son who hardly ever leaves his campus and returns home just about every weekend to see his girlfriend I got Chilis, Applebees, Cheesecake factory, etc. places they can go out to eat together. Each will also receive a candy cane from Harry and Davids.

My Misty I'll just place a bag of treats.

We have 4 stockings this year.....DH, me, DD and DD's cat Sweetie

I put lots of little things in, toys, bath items, pens, paper pads, and then also desk calendars, candy, gift cards, DVDs, CDs

Sweetie is getting indoor grass pot this year

We are doing Christmas this evening since DH has to work Christmas night. I hung the stockings last night and with DH, me, the kids and the grandkids, there is a total of 14 stockings. For the little ones, we usually put socks, candy and a couple of beanie babies in the stockings. For the adults, hand lotion, candy, note pads and pens and other assorted items.:santa:

5 stockings are hung here, for DH and I, the 2 boys, and one for the greyhounds. DH usually gets his daytimer refills, and a bunch of little inexpensive things. The kids get some small inexpensive things, and a main gift from Santa under the stocking. The hounds get some dog biscuits and stuffies to destroy.

Don't really have any traditions except going to the midnight service at church.

Today I'm going to finish up everything, I need to icing my Red Velvet Cake, finish wrapping a few gifts, clean the first floor of my house, give my dog a bath, make crabcakes for dinner.

Tonight we celebrate Christmas with my DH's parents, we will spend the evening together with dinner and then exchanging gifts before heading to the midnight service at church.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!!

We always have Subway for dinner  (DD is a traditionalist and it can not be changed)
We also always get new pajamas and open one present.

I may make a batch of fudge today. DD wants peppermint.
And I think we will do the cut out cookies (dough has been in fridge since Sunday).
DD also decided she wants Cheesecake Factory cheesecake for dessert tomorrow, so we need to run over there and pick that up.

We are having our traditional turkey dinner today, and are having 7 people over for dinner. And apple pie for desert. Tomorrow we are having leftovers.
