My friend's daughter is turning 3 while we are at Disneyworld in November. She is on a Gluten free, Egg free and Dairy free diet - what restaurant would you recommend us eating at to celebrate her birthday? It is also her mom's birthday so it would be a nice birthday gift for mom to not have to cook one meal. I had thought of the Garden Grill Character Dinner at Epcot but see that it is a buffet so not sure if we could get what she needs. Any suggestions are very welcome - we would prefer a character meal if one can suggest one. The only problem is that their birthday is November 24 so the restaurants will all be busy for Thanksgiving!

There is another Disney fan website that specifically addresses food allergies and resturant menus. I would google that phrase (since I don't think they'd welcome me posting it here). Most resturants are more than willing to accomodate the diner. I would add it as a note to your ADR or have the consierge call ahead for you to the resturants to alert them that your dining party has a food allergy. I know that's not exactly what you were looking for but it may be able to help.

My DD13 has all 3 of those allergies plus several others. We've had pretty good experiences at most Disney owned restaurants. I've found that the important thing is that the restaurant has meals that are easily modifiable to my daughter's tastes. My daughter LOVES steak so most restaurants are pretty easy.

If you want a baked item to be brought out with a candle then I'd recommend Chef Mickey. They have gluten, milk and egg free iced cupcakes (plus soy and nut free) on hand at all times.

We had a great experience at Garden Grill, but my kids like plain meats and veggies which is what the chef prepared for them. It's not a buffet; the food is served family style. The chef brought out separate allergy safe food on its own separate platters.

Also be sure to check out Babycakes at DTD. I'm not sure you can get one of their cakes delivered to a restaurant but you should be able to get it delivered to your resort if you're not going to make it to DTD. For DD13's birthday we were staying club level and the club CMs arranged to get a cake delivered to a restaurant at our resort for us but I'm pretty sure that was a special club level type of thing and not something you can really expect on a regular basis.

Thank you so much for all the great replies. I contacted the Special Diets and they responded very quickly with lots of great information. I think it will greatly ease my friend's mind to know all the choices that are available.

Thanks also for the Chef Mickey recommendation - the cupcake would be awesome.
