Is there an easy way to call a WDW restaurant directly? My son is vegetarian and I want to (for example) call Whispering Canyon before we eat there to see if they can have a veggie burger or something else healthful and vegetarian available for him.

Or do you think I even need to do this?

Thanks!

Most of the sit down restaurants can accomodate dietary needs fairly easily. If you have a vegetarins request put on your ADR's through WDW-DIne that will also come through to the restaurant so they will know before you arrive, (vegetarian is an easy one for them to accomodate).

If you would like to call ahead for something specific. Here is the number for the Disney "operator" 407-824-2222 they will not answer the phone "Disney" they just say thank you for calling this is so and so... Ask them if they can connect you to the restaurant that you are looking for so that you may speak to the chef (or manager) about special dietary needs. Just be aware that they sometimes will not connect you, they will try "really" hard to assist you themselves. This would be easier than trying to write down and remember all the different phone numbers :)

Here is a link to complete recent menus at all WDW places to eat. You will see that all the restaurants have vegetarian appretizers and entrees. There is even a full dinner menu at V&A for vegetarians.
