I have checked out dining and menus and have found a few. I would like opinions if you have dined there, food quality, service etc. Thank you!

MGM studios: 50's primetime cafe- fried chicken possibly

MK- Cinderella's Royal Table- Is it out of the question on short notice? We are going in May.
or

Tacos at "El Pirata Y elPerico Restaurant
or

a family style place in frontier land, I can't think of the name now

Cindy's, is always tuff to get unless you call right at the 180 day mark. The restaurant is very small and it is the hottest ticket in town. If the goal is to dine with Cinderella, try 1900 Park Fare in the GF. They have her at dinner only.

El Pirata is only open seasonally so it depends on when you are there.

The place in Frontierland I'm guessing is Pecos Bills. It is a counter service and even when the lines are long you get your food quickly. They have an amazing topping bar with things like fried onions and mushrooms. The pulled pork sandwich is really good. Also, there is lots of indoor seating as well as a few outdoor tables.

50's PTC is one of our favorites!! The food is so good, the service great and it is a lot of fun. The fried chicken is really good but IMHO the pot roast there is the best!!

People book Cindy's 180 days in advance at 7am so I doubt you will be able to get a ressie there. However, I would still try to call for an ADR ASAP. You never know, someone can cancel. Personally we like Crystal Palace better for a character meal. The lunch there was great on our Nov. trip. The menus at Cindy's just don't appeal to our family anymore.(They use to not be buffet for dinner and had a different menu) We also really like Tony's. Columbia Harbor house is a really good counter service choice at MK, so is Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. They have something for everyone in there.

This was the only food place I could think of in Frontierland:

That is a counter service place, not a table service family style.
I can't think of what you are talking about, sorry. Have you seen the menus over at www.allearsnet.com or just the ones on www.wdwinfo.com No offense to the DIS, but I prefer allearsnet for menus.

Sorry I can't be of much help. Have you posted this on the restaurants board? You will get lots of opinions there. You can even check out the food pictures.

If El Pirata is open the tacos are very very good. There is a toppings bar that has everything.

If you have a family & like to have fun go to Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge. The foods good and its lots of fun!

We've eaten at 50's Prime Time and really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 Service was excellent (and lots of fun since they play their "roles" throughout your meal). I had a tasty chicken sandwich.

We also enjoy Pecos Bill in Frontierland, which I think is the restaurant you are thinking of - love the topping bar there. We also enjoy the chicken strips at Cosmic Rays in Fantasyland.

Thank you for the replies! Let me get this straight, we can eat at any of the resorts, not just the one we stay at.

If we do the dining plan, but do only counter service, then only one counter service per day is included in the plan.

The family style place I was thinking of was the Liberty tree tavern, I thought it was in frontier land, but not sure.

Liberty Tree Tavern is in Liberty Square. It's one of my favorites! We eat there every trip. The food is good, and is pretty much Thanksgiving type dishes. We only had poor service there once, but I think the waiter was just overwhelmed and having a rough night.

Are you looking into the dining plan? There's great info here on the 2008 plan, including all restaurants that participate. http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-dining-plan.htm

You can eat at any restaurant on the list for your meals. You'll get 1 table service, 1 counter service, and 1 snack for each of the nights you stay in a disney resort. You can use them however you want. For instance - if I stay 4 nights, I would have 4 TS, 4CS, and 4 Snacks to use throughout those days. I could use 2 TS one day, 2 CS another, or 1 TS and 1 CS in one day. I could eat 4 snacks on the same day if I want. In other words, you would have 4 of each to use however/whenever you want over the course of your stay.

Ive eaten at LIberty Tree and Pecos Bills with no problem... I've tried to eat at 50s Cafe 3x...but only successfully got in once... the reservation list was a mile long...
