"restaurant only" gal needs to learn the "joys" of cooking in the villa!

All of this talk of eating in the villa is getting me excited to try it this time !! What great ideas!! Now the only thing I have to do is call MS and see if I can change my studio to a one-bedroom to have the full kitchen!! ( we do have enough pts this time but was just trying to be conservative!) It almost feels like "I'm on a mission now" to eat in the villa. Too bad my trip is still 6 months away !! I better be sure to re-read this one often or I'll stray off course!
Thanks!

Maybe you should keep the studio anyway. That way you can start off small with just breakfast and some snacks. The fridge is big enough to put breakfast items in. That way you won't feel forced to eat in all of the time to justify the 1BR.

Does anyone know if you can get a crock pot from Mousekeeping or must you bring your own? That would be great to throw a roast/potatoes in and have when returning from the parks. Plus, you could throw some barbecue sauce on the leftover roast for sandwiches.

The last time I was at BWV, I had brought along some English muffins and bagels that I had frozen at home and then packed in the suitcase. Put them in the fridge when I got there and that saved on brefex for me.

We do breakfast in the room all the time. DH and I like different things and are usually on different wake-up schedules. I had breakfast out on the porch once this past trip while he was still sleeping.

We did grocery shopping on our first full day about noon and picked up a frozen pizza and had that back in the room. Since we drove this time I also picked up break and bake cookies and made them for our ride home.

take the big pot with the lid, put in 4 boneless chick brest, big chuncks of root veggies. (onion, celery, carrot, potatoes) pour in 2 big cans of chick broth and boil for 15 min. your done. Take a box of dry couscous (it is little pasta like rice) and take out two cups of the boiling broth and put it in the big tupperware bowl with lid for 5 min. Your done. This is the quickest meal that is fresh and very very low fat that I can cook. 1 meat 1 veggies 1 pasta. throw in a bag salad or broil some tomatoes if you need more to eat.
