Restaurant Lounges that serve apps or full menu

"HOWEVER--if it is full (which it always is anywhere near fireworks time)--they won't let you in w/o a reservation. There are but 8 tables in the "lounge" area."

That's true about not letting you in to CA Grill if it's full, but in addition to the lounge tables there are a dozen or so bar stools. And, if you dine at there earlier, come back later and simply show your receipt (including one from the bar!) to the downstairs hostess and you will be allowed back up to view the fireworks.

There are actually 18 bar stools--but they fill up just as fast as the lounge tables. And I certainly wouldn't sit a 4 year old at the bar in any case.

Quick Question.... What are the hours of the California Grill Lounge? Does it not open until 5pm?

Thanks

We thought it would be so cool to try this last trip. we ate at crew's cup and both times the service was soooo slow.

Just our experience..... we have never had anything but stellar service at the Crews Cup. We started just about every evening there last trip 2 weeks ago. My boyfriend ordered the crab cake and the wings as he doesn't like to drink on an empty stomach. Wes and his crew were tops!

We thought it would be so cool to try this last trip. we ate at crew's cup and both times the service was soooo slow. the second time the server gave my daughter hot chocolate that was not a kid friendly temperature and she burnt her tounge wicked. She was not sympathetic or apologetic and the server ignored us on several occasions to chat with another couple about her kids. we had several requests that she simply forgot. so although it might seem like a good option, I think lounges are better for adults without an impatient toddler on hand. it seemed like the kitchen was more focused on the main restaurant than getting our meals out. again service was inattentive and slow both times!!!!
Did you not check the temperature of the hot chocolate before allowing your daughter to drink it? :sad2:

Yes I guess we have been spoiled by other places like barnes and nobles that make kid's temperature.

I would suggest Crew's Cup & Kimonos in the Swan if you like sushi.

I know Bluezoo has a lounge with tables but not sure about bringing a 4 yr old since I've never been to check out the atmosphere there myself.

The Blue Zoo lounge is "mostly" adults--many fresh out of convention meetings.
