We are taking our DS3 and DD4 in March and I need ideas for two more meals. Here's what we have so far...

-Mickey's Backyard BBQ (never done this one before)
-Chef Mickeys's (this will be on DS's Bday)
-Ohana Breakfast
-Ohana Dinner (never done this one either)
-Trex

We are staying 8 nights so I need two more reservations. Ideas???

If you are looking for Character meals,

Tusker House (AK) is a great one to go to. Different food (kids fare is the same) adult fare with a "twist"...I thought it was VERY good.

Cape May Cafe - Breakfast, beachy theme, very cute...low key

Non Character meals,

Whispering Canyon (WL)

Sci-Fi Drive In, I have been there twice, food is okay, nothing too special...stick to burgers and milkshakes (gets a bad rap on the boards) but it is really a fun place to eat both of my kids loves it (DS4 DD 2)

I am sure you will get tons of ideas...these are just some of my personal faves...
Happy planning!
Carrie

Whispering Canyon was a fantastic dinner and 1900 Park fare breakfast was great for Characters, we saw Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger

My almost 4 year old still talks about Sci Fi. We actually all liked our food - have been twice. We will probably make that an annual restaurant. I really want to try Whispering Canyon, too, so second the PP suggestion on that.

Here are some of our faves.

Wispering Canyon @WL
Crystal Palace @ MK
Sci-Fi Dine In @ HS
Mama Melrose @ HS
Sanaa @ AKV

Have you tried to get into CRT? Huge hit with my kids who were DD2 and DS4 on our last trip! It is one of my favorite memories and I thought the food was really good!

Whispering Canyon and Sci Fi are my other 2 suggestions!

Our last trip involved 3 grandkids (6,3 and 18 mos).

For your DD, you may want to consider AKERSHUS in Norway. The princess interaction cannot be beat (my DGS's enjoyed it, too!) Much better than eating in the castle, IMHO--though we did that, too. :goodvibes

Crystal Palace: What a great place! Get an EARLY morning adr (before the park is open) and you'll have the place to yourself--a great time to get some great pix and the Winnie and Pooh characters are there.

Epcot also has a family style dinner at the Land pavillion--The Garden Grill. Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale are there. The restaurant revolves thru the boat ride. It's relaxing.

Something that the little guy (18 mos) enjoyed was seeing Remy at Chefs de France. It was cute--you may want to see if they are still doing this.

Happy planning:wizard:

I would cancel T-Rex. It is the most obnoxious place. The kids did not enjoy it at all. It is so loud that you cannot even talk at your table and the food is not that good.

I would go to SciFi, CRT, Akershus, Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon, Tepan Edo.

I would suggest a Princess meal at either Akershus or CRT for your DD. That is my DD's absolute favorite thing. Another one that was a big hit with both my 3 year old DD and my friend's son on their trip was Biergarten. The food is good and they have a show with a German band where the kids can get out on the dance floor. My DD ranks Biergarten right up there with the Princess meals, and above any of the other character meals.

Our favorite places are:

Kona Cafe ( our best meal on our last trip, better than Le Cellier)
50' Prime time
Chef Mickeys
Whispering Canyon

Our worst meal was at Coral Reef and we normally like it. We won't be going back for a while.

Also, remember at Ohana, you can ask for a kids meal. I forgot this and my kids did not like what they had. I was not to crazy about it either but I'm a picky eater.

crystal palace in MK, cape may cafe at the boardwalk, or liberty tree tavern in MK. definitely.

Does your DD love princesses? My DD is almost 4 and all about the princesses. Therefore, I would recommend either Akershus (1TS) or CRT (2TS), DD loved both of those. Both were great for us as well! Definitely Crysal Palace breakfast, that was excellent. We are going again in May and trying Cape May breakfast & Tusker House breakfast. We also enjoyed 1900 Park Fare breakfast.

Crystal Palace and Tusker House for breakfast. Make sure to make ADRs for a time before or no later then park opening.

Just my 2 cents here...we didn't go to Disney per se..but we went to the Hoop De Doo Musical Revue at the Wilderness Lodge grounds and it was fantastic. My DD is 2.5 and she LOVED IT!

We loves Hollywood and Vine's character breakfast. Food was great, ds (3 at the time) loved everything.

DS11's favorite place is the Garden Grill in Epcot's Land..This is a character meal and probably has the best characters..our son still talks about it, and when we start discussions on where to eat when we visit that's his only request.

We ate at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and it was AWESOME and has been added as another must goto spots as well as LTT in MK...all the characters are the best and the food too!

We have done the WL and it's good, but loud. We also did the 1900 Park Fare for dinner and the entertainment was great but the food, we didnt care for it..stick we are going to stick with the breakfast for sure!
