Restaurant gift cards?

I've been trying to follow the boards about these 1/2 price restaurant cards, some of them advertised on radio stations. I'm not sure if this would be for my family, but the deals sound interesting. Do these seem to work out well, or do you have to drive all over Orlando in search of these places? I am thinking about ordering the Nascar cafe certificates on sale tomorrow, but just can't decide. Is the Entertainment book deal almost the same as these deals? Sorry for the question, but I don't have any experience with any of this. Thanks!!

I haven't used them yet but I purchased several for the Universal CityWalks restaurants when they were available. I figured that we would be dining there anyway (since we have 4 days/3 nights scheduled in Universal at the end of our vacation).

There are some restrictions on them like only one GC per table, taxes and gratuities not included, no merchandise purchases.

Word has it that they not will not be offering any more of the CityWalks GCs this summer but they'll be back in the fall. Most of the recently offered restaurants have been in the I-Drive area (like Shalimar and LuLu's Bait Shack). At least one site will be offering $50 Church Street GCs for $10 tomorrow (and the GC can be used for drinks as well as food). Several others will be offering the Nascar Café ones. Just pay attention to the expiration dates. The Nascar ones expire on June 30, 2004 and consists of 2 $25 GCs.

I have read some of the posts on that thread. I'm just trying to decide now how it would work out for us as we will be on Disney property for all of our stay. Thanks again!
