This will be our first time to Universal and we've narrowed down our dinner restaurant choices to two for each night. Can anybody who's been to the following provide their views on: Mama Della's Ristorante vs. Bice Ristorante and Latin Quarter vs. Margaritaville? The first night we're looking for a nice Italian dinner and the second night we're looking for convenience and fun. Two adults and two kids (11 and 8).

Thank you.

Love both Latin Quarter and Margaritaville. Visit last month we did the $21 meal and movie deal. Went to Latin Quarter and had the coconut crusted snapper - it was wonderful. They bread and special butter is delicious.

I don't know about the Portofino restaurants, but we have two kids 12 and 9. We took them to Universal when they were 7 and 4, 8 and 5, and 9 and 6. Every time they begged us for Margaritaville. Great music, and they have entertainment for the kids. Most nights you see the performers walking around on stilts making ELABORATE balloon creations. We can sit in there for a couple of hours just enjoying the place. We also love Pastamore, and Bubba Gumps.

for me, Latin Quarters hands down!!

it is a well known secret of having excellent food.

My vote is for Mama Della's and Margaritaville. Mama's is full of comfort Italian food (lasagna, pasta,..) Margaritaville is a good time also. Their jambalaya and burgers are excellent!

Latin Quarter has really good food -- maybe the best food in Citywalk.

If you're looking for fun, though, Margaritaville is what you're looking for. There's all sorts of stuff going on there. It's not really a restaurant as much as it is it's own show at times.

Haven't been to BICE...only Mama Della's. Review in trip report from '09.

Mville hands down vs Latin Quarter. Balloon hats and singing...how can ya go wrong?

Yes, I have been to BICE, it's very nice. It's a great date spot. I think between two of us we dropped $175. I enjoyed it but will go to mama della's next time. If you are going in september, they are one of the magical dining participants. this would include a 3 course meal for $30 a person!
