Restaurant Discounts

Don't we wish! The only time I remember any type of senior discount at WDW was one year in the past when AARP was a sponsor of the Food and Garden Festival (about 15 years ago?) and there was some little discount for something there if you were an AARP member. Otherwise I don't know of any senior discounts-does anyone?

I think discounts are pretty much a thing of the past other than DVC, AP and Disney Visa. It is always worth asking.

No discounts, but one of our favorite's is Earl. We split a sandwich for about $10 and leave happy! Chicken Guy has reasonably priced salads that are delicious. We've eaten at the take out window at House of Blues in the past (did not this trip) and enjoyed nachos. All are great food values IMO. Enjoy!

Earl of Sandwich used to offer a AAA discount (not a senior discount of course). I wonder if they still do. Have not had a meal here in years. Time to revisit.

Thanks for the tips. We’re always looking for cheaper food close by. Just can’t afford those $25.00 hamburgers on a fixed income..

I love the earl, but I’ve waited in line for over an hour to get a sandwich. Do you know a way to get around that? I’m not too good at all those new apps for ordering ahead.

Senior Discounts and Menus seem to have gone away at many restaurants outside Disney, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are rate at Disney.

If, like most of us Seniors, you don't eat as much as you used to, you can also nicely ask a server if there are some items where a smaller portion is available and offered for a lower price. Some restaurants have this, most don't, but it never hurts to ask. Buffets and "all you care to eat" venues are generally never discounted at all, though, except for the normal DVC/AP discounts.

I always search before I leave for the trip. Unsuccessful mostly and not worth the time either.
