This Art Deco style restaurant is located in the Production Courtyard.
It is a large restaurant seating 300 people and recently changed (Summer 2007) to a buffet serving European and International style food.

If you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of that sweet little chef, Remy!

This is a counter service restaurant which serves table service type food. They have substantial meals like Roast beef , salmon , chicken served with rice , potato or pasta and at very reasonable prices. Great if you are not a fan of Fast food

I have just read on a French Disney Forum that Rendezvous des Stars is now open with an all you can eat and drink buffet in a similar style to the Plaza Gardens buffet at a very reasonable price of 23 euros/head - I would think that's the adult price and there is probably a cheaper childrens' option too.
IMO this will be another great addition to the WDS, I've never been very impressed with the food selection in there, perhaps this new venture is to meet the demands of increasing visitor numbers to WDS with the new rides.

Looks good, reasonably priced and seems to have 1 drink included, for adults and children making it even better value for money.

Thank you Jill, we ate there in 2005 when it was a self-service and although the food was very nice, it was definitely lacking something.

This is a great improvement, about time the Studios had somewhere nice to relax over a leisurely lunch.

Vibe and decoration: 6/10 It could be better because there is only a few pictures of Rémy and Emile.
Food: 9.5/10 So good, it's my favorite buffet for the food. A large choice of starters (cheese, pasta, rice, vegetables,etc.), entrees (pasta with 2 salsas, special Mickey 'cordon bleu', potatoes, pizza, salmons...) and desserts (beignets, brownies, tarts, cakes, cookies, fruits...)Drink: 7/10 50cl of sodas
General Appreciation: 8.5/10 Only for the tasty food and smiling cooks! But vibe must be better (now there is a Rémy audio-animatronic!)

it opens @ 11.30am, and we got there for around 12pm

was lovely and cool,after a busy warm morning in the parks!

I came back to this buffet on the 19th August. I loved it the first time but this time, I am a bit disappointed: no more cheese, no more Mickey cordon bleu and prices have increased...but food was still good and there was a great choice of food. I loved the small Rémy, an Audio-Animatronic which welcomes you!
Vibe and decoration: 7/10 (thanks Rémy!)
Food: 8/10 (very good cheese raviolis and pizza! And I loved the chocolate tart!!!)
Service: 6/10 (we were a bit supervise because there were a lot of waiters and not a lot of guests so they were looking at us =/)
General appreciation: 7/10

We ate here on Wednesday 13th May, I booked the day before at City Hall, and we had a 12.45pm reservation. The buffet is arranged the same as the brilliant photos in the post above this one, and the food is amazing here, it really is .
The prices seem to have reduced though - the adult price (without drinks) is 22.90 euro, and the childs price (which includes one soft drink) is 9.90 euros. Whilst it was quiet when we arrived and got seated, by around 1.15 it had got busier, and there were queues at both pay stations (you pay as you go in, before you are seated).
My DD is not the most adventurous eater in the world, but she enjoyed the rice, salads, bread, and chicken wings. She also had meatballs and pasta for her main, which she went up for seconds of. I was spoilt for choice with the mains here - zucchini in cheese sauce, pan fried vegetables, beef in red wine, hot spicy chicken, ratatouille (of course ), dauphinoise potatoes etc etc. All cooked to perfection.
The desserts were pretty amazing too, crepes, fresh fruit chunks, tiny sponge cakes, rhum baba, apple tart, and the most amazing chocolate pie

And then this little fella to entertain you as you eat - (well, little fella and his chef, who was pretty entertaining too )

[A Small World]

We ate here on Sat 1st August for lunch and once again had a wonderful meal.

Its worth booking in advance as you go to a seperate till if you have a reservation so we could bypass the queue.

We paid, ordered our drinks (which you do when you pay) and our free Kirs with our APs and were shown to our table. Unfortunately the table they were showing us to wasnt free so they then had to look round for another and we had to wait while they cleared one for us.

Once seated we helped ourselves to food. DD and I decided not to bother with starters and headed right for the mains whilst DH and DS attacked the starters.

There was a similar selection of food as in the posts above.

DD had a plate full of pasta, meatballs and bolognaise sauce. I decided to try the fish (salmon and sole I think) which was delicious with rice and vegetables and then afterwards had some beef in red wine and of course ratatouille

The desserts were delicious and I was glad I had left room for them by not having starters. I particularly love the way they have small portions of them all so you can have a selection of several things including crepes.

The buffet was well stocked and replenished regularly and once again we thought it was good value for money

I ate here for the first time on my trip from sep 21st-26th 09

AS far as I remember was either 20 or 22 euro per Adult and this did not include drinks, which brought the price up another 5 euros or more (soft drinks only served as a can also, not a bottle).

I have to say I enjoyed this meal. There is a large variety of foods and desserts so there will be something you like!

I liked the layout of the restraunt...

I wish I had taken more photos to show how spacous and light it is...

My mum actually got a plate of food and didnt like it but liked one or two things from the original plate so went up and got other things! I must say they keep the plates very small to encourage you to eat less - seems to be a little trick I noticed!

I didn't know if Remy would make an appearance but low and behold he came out with his chef friend...

I have to say remy is so cute and the waiter is entertaining. He even stopped right infront of our table which was great!

I have to say I probably wouldn't do it as my main meal of the day but its good for lunch, I wasnt very hungry so I guess it's a lot to pay for what I ate but I still liked it!

I do think I will return to this restraunt!

We had another great meal in here last week

Just an update for AP holders (we have dream passes, I'm not sure if it's the same for all types) - when we went in the summer they were offering a free 'kir' drink with AP, but last week there was a choice of a free kir or free orange juice. I asked for the juice, then the cashier asked whether DD had an AP as well - she does, so we were given 2 free juices. Since the kids meal already includes a drink, I had both juices

With AP discount it was 26 Euros for both of us, including drinks which I thought was pretty good DD probably ate the 26 euros worth in desserts!!

I don't know whether it's the same in all restaurants, we only ate here??

We ate here on Friday 30 October at 2pm. We had a reservation at 2pm which was good as there was a very long queue of people waiting for a table. We checked in at the podium and were then taken to the till where we handed over our lunch vouchers, ordered drinks and paid the balance. Our lunch vouchers (free dining ) were taken at face value with no question, they covered about half the cost of our meal. We were then shown to our table. A waiter took the receipt with our drinks order on and then brought our drinks.

The restaurant was nice and bright, with a buzzy atmosphere. We enjoyed a selection of salads, soup and bread, then had a variety of main courses such as pasta, roasted chicken thighs, fish in butter sauce with rice. There was a wide choice of desserts with healthier options such as fresh fruit and yogurts as well as crepes, some yummy brownies and tarts. We had orange and apple juice and a carafe of red wine to accompany our meal. There was a self service station for hot drinks so we had a coffee with dessert which was a nice touch.

We ate here on Friday 13th November for the second time this year. We first ate here in May and we really enjoyed the food, so we were hoping for a repeat performance.

To be honest, if it wasn't for the quality of the food, we wouldn't have chosen to eat at Restaurant des Stars again. Why? Well, the place is so dull! It's just one large room, which can feel a bit like you're eating in a canteen, plus there is not much to look at. The only saving grace is the animatronic Remy, which is quite entertaining but he's only brought out for a short period of time. I definitely think they could do with revamping the restaurant- perhaps they could deck it out in more Parisian paraphenalia in order to reflect the where film it's based on is set.

The buffet is clearly divided into three sections: cold dishes, hot dishes and desserts. It's easy to navigate and there is plenty of room to manouevre. There are lots of options and, as a vegetarian, I'm pleased to report that there were lots of dishes I could try.

What we ate:

Lauren

Cucumber salad, grated carrot, chick pea salad, mixed olives, Greek-style mushrooms.

I enjoyed everything on my first plate, particularly the Greek-style mushrooms, which weren't there on our last visit. Everything was very fresh and seasoned well.

Penne pasta with tomato sauce, mixed vegetables, courgette gratin, mixed olives.

Again, all the food was tasty and fresh. The vegetables were a little overcooked (I like them crunchy) but I really enjoyed the courgette gratin, which was another new arrival.

Coconut cake, crépes, chocolate and walnut brownies.

I didn't really care for the coconut cake as it was far too sweet, but the crépes and the brownies were fantastic.

Andrew

I thought I had taken pics of both of Andrew's plates but clearly I didn't. On the second one were some of the more substantial offerings such as beef bourguignon and meatballs. Here is his first plate:

Couscous, croutons, potato salad with ham, pasta salad, ham

Again, all the offerings were very fresh. The only thing Andrew didn't like was the raisins in the couscous, so he picked them out.

Chocolate and walnut brownies, crépes, pecan pie

Like me, Andrew enjoyed his crépes and brownies and, while I didn't like the pecan pie (too sweet and too nutty), he did.

Would we return to Restaurant des Stars for a third time? Yes, we would. One thing I like is that although the price of the buffet doesn't include a drink anymore, you're allowed to have jugs of water and unlimited hot drinks. This is where we first concocted our favourite drink of hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. After a 4am start on Friday, a few cups of this soon sorted us out!

If you haven't tried this place yet, I wholly recommend it. Have fun!
