I'm having real trouble finalising our restaurant plans. Which from the following list would you visit and why?

Plaza
Agrabah
Walts
Blue Lagoon
Inventions
Auberge

We are there for 9 meal times and will also be doing BBWWS. We would love to visit them all but don't think we could eat that much food or justify the cost!

Auberge - because we ALL love the princess experience (hubby just as much as DD and I!)
Inventions - we ate there last time but I don't feel I really did it justice and want to try more things.

If we liked Seafood more we would eat at Blue Lagoon, just because the times I have been on POTC I have always thought it would be cool to eat there!
I know nothing of Walts, Plaza - so wouldn't put them on my list! We're more into characters, whilst DD is young enough to love them!

oh dear, why do I suspect this thread won't help, but just confuse things further for you :rotfl:?

I can see why folk like all of those restaurants, and its going to come down to personal taste really isn't it.

Personally, out of those, Blue Lagoon and Plaza Gardens come out top for us, because Blue Lagoon food suits our pallettes and the theme is wonderful. Plaza Gardens, we can always find something suitable to eat there, and its usually not very busy.

Out of those we've been to Agrabah and Inventions (lunch time) and loved them both. The themeing in Agrabah is great and when we went there it felt like a real haven away from the busyness of the parks. The food was really nice too with lots of moroccan-type food to choose from plus plainer things like pasta and meatballs.

We thought the buffet at Inventions was fab too with plenty to choose from for adults and children and the dessert section was to die for! On the downside, of course, it's not cheap. I'm so tempted to go back next time but I keep thinking about the other things we could afford if we didn't!

I know the feeling, between choosing where to eat and at what time I feel giddy! :rotfl:

The only one that doesn't appeal to me personally is Plaza, don't know why really, just think it looks fairly plain and imo there are better places to eat but I'm not sure what I'm basing that on as I've never been....?

I would do Inventions if you can as you are staying at the DLH and I think it sort of rounds a trip off there if you see what I mean. Plus the twice we have done it we've had brilliant character interaction (probably on a par with the funniness of Cafe Mickey), but with way better food and service! I am a big fan of there!

I love the look of Agrabah and my DD2 loves Jasmine & Aladdin so would love it, but we just can't fit it in this trip sadly!

I suppose it also depends on how picky/fussy your girls are with eating on where you choose? Buffets are always a good bet with fussy eaters as there will be something they can eat!!

We've never done Walts or Blue Lagoon before but we have them on our list this time. The food at both looks fabulous. I think the reason we didn't do them previous was the girls were very young and I just felt both places were not so suitable for them - better places to eat with very young children imo.

Are you bothered about character interaction? We like it as I can't be bothered with scrums in the park, so it's a nice way to see some and have some nice interaction. Because of this we are doing CM, Inventions, CCO and Auberge this trip :goodvibes We'll be 'charactered' out!

Re Auberge - it depends if you think you will wait 1 hr plus in line in the Princess Pavilion if you don't go there? I know you said your DD3 was wanting to go. Could you maybe take her on your own and your other DDs and your DH go somewhere else? Would keep the cost down but also means the older girls might get to do something different....?

I've been no help whatsoever have I! :rotfl2:

We had decided to skip Auberge this time but now DD2 has decided she really wants to go. :confused3

I think you might be right but at least this way it is all on the page in black and white instead of swimming around in my head! :rotfl2:

Yes I think I am definately getting more confused by the minute. :rotfl2: If money were no object I think we would probably just eat at them all. ;)

We need to eat at either the plaza or the agrabah if not both because we have the 20% off from the free birthday ticket.

We do like character meals because it avoids some of the scrums. We normally only do one or two though as a lot of the characters seem to be the same. I think it would be really nice to do inventions seeing as we are staying in the DLH this time. It would be great to meet princesses in auberge to avoid the queuing and I did think about taking DD3 on my own but it is now DD2 who is desperate to go so I would have to take the two of them at least. I suppose though that would still save about E90. If we didn't have the meal we would brave the queues at least a couple of times but I'm not looking forward to it :scared1:.

The older two girls are very good eaters and not fussy at all. DD3 is not really fussy as such but hates to try new things so not sure she will eat much at all while we are there. I know she is over 3 but do you think we would be able to get away with her sharing with the rest of us at table service restaurants? (obviously not at buffets!)

Ah sorry, it is DD2 who wants to go to Auberge! I would let DD1 go off with her Dad somewhere nice for lunch and just take the two other girls - if DD1 is happy with that!

I do think the queues for the PP will be long - and plus if they start opening at 12 noon again instead of 10 am it makes it hard to get there early!?!

Is your DD3 much over 3 years? Does she look it as well? My DD2 will be only 4 by a few weeks but looks older than her age as she is tall so no chance with us! She is sadly quite picky too so I would much prefer for her to eat off our plates or share a meal as I think a lot will get wasted (esp if she is distracted by characters). DD1 however is a great eater and wouldn't take kindly to having to share her meal with her sis! :rotfl2:. You could perhaps not say anything about DD3 and just keep your fingers crossed, don't order her anything and see what happens. I think Isila had that recently somewhere with her DS2 - think they didn't charge for him as just presumed he was under 3! :goodvibes

I know it's not much consolation but the Dream AP does help a little with cost. Food is just ridiculously priced at DLRP but I've just resigned myself to it :scared1:.

Inventions is just too pricey for me and my DDs as we don't eat enough to make it worthwhile. DH is the only one who would do it justice!

Auberge is also too pricey and luckily my girls are growing out of the Princess thing anyway. (Would love to have seen in the restaurant though, before it became a character place)

We've done Plaza and, although very pleasant, nothing to get particularly excited about. So I would like to do Agrabah as the equivalent meal next time we go.

Love Walt's - it's a must do for us.

Love the setting of the Blue Lagoon and we had a wonderfully relaxed meal last time we ate there - about 10 years ago! So it's time to revisit.

So that's what I'm planning for my trip - if it happens.

Aaahhhh decisions, decisions!!

We are adding Agrabah to our list as we've not been there before and want to try somewhere new.

Auberge is a must for us - DD would never let me hear the end of it if we didn't go, but DH will have to fend for himself though, girls only meal!

Love Walts!!! :cloud9: DH didn't like it but it's one of my favourites.

Love Blue Lagoon too - we had the columbo chicken. DD ate quite well here too.

Love Inventions and you know you will find something for everyone to eat plus bonus of the characters, it is expensive though.

That's not helped much has it?!! :rotfl: You were warned!

I think DD1 would be happy to go off with daddy while the rest of us went to Auberge but daddy isn't :confused3 DD3 is 4 now and although she is quite small I don't think she would be mistaken for under 3! I don't mind paying for her at buffets because she will eat something (probably her own body weight in desserts! :rotfl2:) but at Auberge I doubt she would eat much. We love our aps :worship:

Inventions and Auberge are really pricey but as we are staying at DLH I kind of feel it is a good time to do inventions. I'm not sure if we will visit again while the girls would still want to do Auberge so it would be good to do it now just in case. We enjoyed plaza when we ate there but agree it is nothing special - in fact that may be one that goes. I do like the setting though :rotfl:

I was warned :rotfl:. I think for now the plaza might be taken off the list and I will see how the rest fit into our plans.
