restaurant.com

can anyone tell me if you have to print these out right away?? i don't have a printer hooked up to my laptop and would have to wait till i got to work to do it! can i order it now or should i wait till i have a printer??

You don't have to print them right away. You will get an email with a link to print the GC you purchased. You can print the GC when you need it instead of printing and possibly misplacing it. The GCs are good for 1 year from date of purchase.

There are several small restaurants in the college town near us that I get to go to every month because of restaurant.com. Each certificate says one certificate can be used per month at that specific restaurant, so I buy several every so often, and DH and I can get a very nice evening out for about $20, including the tip, drinks, dessert, and the $2 cost for the certificate.

If I didn't have the certificate, I probably wouldn't get to go out to eat at these nice restaurants as often, since it would cost a minimum of $40 for two people to eat there, not including tip and drinks.

I'm actually on restaurant.com in another browser window right now replenishing my certificate supply. Mmmmmm, where do I want to go eat this fall....

We will be staying offsite in the SeaWorld area for a few days in April. I'm not familiar with that area at all...are there any places on restaurant.com near that area?

Restaurant.com sells gift certificates for local restaurants at a discount. Right now you can get 80% off with the promo code TASTE, making a $25 gift certificate only $2!

I bought six for a fancy restaurant around here :goodvibes

I frequently use these without any issues. They had some new restaurants in my area this month - about time!
I buy them through the Sunshine Rewards link - almost always the newest discount code is posted - and get cash back as well as a great price!

I just used these for our Disneyland trip last week to save money! I also had an 80% discount so I got the $25 for $2. Honestly even for $10 it's a deal in saving $15! It was our first trip there and we made out great finding local (easy to walk to) places that tasted great!

Acutally in Calif. they don't expire at all (against the law here) the same reason that the birthday fun cards at DLR don't expire anymore either.

FYI, on all the certicates I've used beverages don't count towards your min. purchase.

Here's the verbage from one of the restaurants we go to

Valid with a minimum puchase of $35. 18% gratuity added to pre-discounted check amount.Excludes Alcohol & Beverages.

It varies from state to state and area to area.

I got two $25 gift certificates for $2/each. $50 worth of dining for a whopping $4. We've already used one. Our certificates automatically included a 18% gratuity but it was worth it.

I have never used them because the restrauants they have here are not ones we would consider going to. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be some good restrauants along I-10 from Texas to Flordia?

One caveat restriction, just in case you don't notice it:

Every time I have used one they only let you use 1 per party(even if you're seated at different tables). So you can't go out to eat with your friends and they get a separate check and use a restaurant.com certificate and you use one as well. I did not notice this and a friend and I went to lunch and were denied using our GCs b/c it had to be for 2 people and only 1 per party...we could only use one so we put the checks together, took it off the total, and then split the rest.

Just an fyi...

Just used one the other night. :cool1: Mom was in town and she was paying so I offered to get the certificate. Worked out great. 5 adults and 1 child ate at a moderate place 3 even ordered alcohol and with tip and all it was only $60. Since the alcohol was above the $35 food requirement it was fine. I know 60 is a lot of money but not for this place and 6 people including tip and alcohol.

And yes I highly suggest registering over at sunshine rewards and then you also get a little cash back for the purchase of the certs. And sunshine girl since you are in Indy I would love to know where it is you love to go with the cert.

We do restaurant.com once in awhile, but the key is definitely to wait until they're having a special, and buy the "gift certificates" then. Last year around the holidays they had a discount code for something like 80%, so we got a "$25 off $50 purchase" certificate for $2.

Haven't used any yet, but the 80% off sale convinced me to pick some up. Got 2 $25 for 2 different restaurants and a $10 one for another all for $4.80. Talk about a steal....can't wait to use them!
