restaurant.com recommendations in Disney area

Because of our last minute change in resort plans we won't have the dining plan now for next week, so looking for deals! Can anyone recommend a restaurant.com deal in the Disney area? We have transportation but would prefer to stay close to the parks.

I should add, its for 2 adults (me and my DD22) and my 8yo son who may or may not eat. I sometimes have to pack him a meal as he is very picky.

I would say House of Blues, Garden Grove, Kimono's, etc. Those are right on Disney property so no long travels there.

House of Bluse at DTD & many of the restaraunts at Swan/Dolphin - Shula's, Garden Grove, etc. Just make sure to read the fine print!

We make Il Mulino (at the Swan) one of our regular stops when we are in WDW. The food is great and they have a $25 certificate on restaurant dot com. Kids can order pasta - just about any kid will eat that.

Thanks I'm checking them out! Restaurant.com is having a $2 sale so want to get a couple, but the only time I've ever used it the restaurant ended up being in a Ramada Inn lobby so definitely wanted to get some recommendations!!

Il Mulino
Kimonos

Kimonos is just sushi, so unless you son likes that, it might not be the best choice.

I also purchased an Adiamo's certificate. Its an Italian Restaurant at the Downtown Disney Hilton. However, we didn't get a chance to use that one yet. I also have a Shulas one to try.

I've heard many people get the Giordanos certificate for pizza. But I haven't tried that one.

I know you can see the menu online, but no costs

Don't know if I should get the 25 off 35 or 50 off 100.

25 would be more like soda and apps
50 would be a full dinner

How many people are ther in your party? DH and I went in April and it depends on what you are eating and how many in your party.

There was 2 of and and we used the $25 off $35 and with tax and extra added to the tip, because our service was outstanding, we still spent $30. I had a chicken entree and a side salad, Dh had a burger and we each had a soft drink. My entree was $19, salad was $5 (it was not good), Dh burger with fries was $11. If you go before 5 pm, appetizers are half price.

Is it good sushi? My DD22 LOVES sushi. Give DS8 an ipod and a bag of chips and he doesn't care where we go. LOL

We had one for HoB at 5pm on a Friday evening, but when we arrived, the place wasn't even half full, but I would make one just in case. We arrived at 4:30 and were immediately seated.

We haven't been to the other restaurants.

I have a number for Kimonos but they aren't answering so will keep trying. I did get a HoB for Saturday afternoon. I will keep trying for Garden Grove and O'Hana. We have a Yak and Yeti for Thurs.

We've eaten at the one on Rt 192 twice and both times the food and atmosphere was great! We bought a $25 one last time and there were 5 of us. We ended up having some pizza leftover but ate everything else. However I think next time we will get the larger g.c. and get dinners instead of sandwiches and pizza. Their menu is pretty large and everything we've gotten the last 2 times was yummy! It's hard to get the $25 g.c....they are always oos when they have good sales.

One idea is that you can sit at the counter in front of where they make the sushi. That might entertain your DS.

We did not have reservations and walked right in. They do have karaoke on some nights and it might get busy then. You may want to plan your visit to go not during karaoke.

Thanks!!! It would probably be best NOT to go during karaoke so i will definitely look into that LOL I was a little disappointed that they aren't open for lunch, but I think we will be able to squeeze it in!

Does the HOB continue to have 1/2 price drinks & apps 3-5pm happy hour in the summer? Any days this is not offered? We'll be there next week & would love to get a cert & go at that time if possible.
