restaurant closing times?

If we go during the slow season and the parks close at 7pm does that mean that any restaurant in that park closes at 7pm?

Example Coral Reef in Epcot. Would we have to make reservations before the closing time?

Since some of the parks close early we didn't want to waste park time eating.

Hope this makes sense and that I posted it in the right place.

It depends on the restaurant and location (I don't know about Coral Reef specifically). You will know what times you can book by the dining website choices offered for that location on the particular day.

OK thank you very much.:) Where do i find this dining website? Sorry i am not new to Disney but the free dining we have only done once and it was in the fall when the park was open later.

Here's the link for making reservations at the restaurants:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/

The restaurants' hours are included, but if you enter your desired time it will search for available times. Coral Reef for example closes at 9:00 so the last reservation is probably between 8:45 and closing.

If you're going during the September FD period the restaurants do get very busy. Since it's less than 4 months to September I would definitely make reservations ASAP. Some places, such as Be Our Guest, 'Ohana and character meals are probably already fully or close to fully booked.

thank you for that followup information. We are currently booked dec 7 week but switching to Nov 30 week because of pop Warner and we have a pin for free dining for November.

When can you start making reservations?

Thanks again

With a confirmed Disney resort reservation (which you'll have), you can make up to 10 days worth of dining reservations up to 180 days before date of check-in. Otherwise, you may make dining reservations up to 180 days before date of dining.

In your case, according to the the calculator I've been using since 2009, a check in date of 11/30 will have a 180 day mark at 06/03/2013.

The phone lines open at 7am EST with the online system "rolling over" to the next day at 6am (so, you get a 1hour jump by doing online, and with the current system rarely working correctly, that should make you just frustrated enough by the time you call at 7am)

I just wanted to add that just because the restaurant "closes" at a certain time, that time is just the time they finish assigning ADRs. We often take the last ADR of the night at any restaurant (it's just me and my wife, no kids). By the time our entrees come out, most of the time the restaurant has emptied out and we are usually one of the last to leave. We have never been or felt rushed and some times we have had really nice conversations with some of the staff (they always seem to be less stressed at the end of the night). The last ADRs for the night at the parks is great for the quiet, beautiful and somewhat eerie walk back to the buses.
