Hi! I am going to Disney World in February with my boyfriend. It will be his 1st time, my 16th time. We can make our ADRs next week and we have come up with the restaurants we would like to go to for dinner. Most of them, I've never been to. Will we absolutely regret our decisions or are they worth a shot? They are all for dinner. Oh, and we are on the DDP (1 QS, 1 TS, 1 snack per day)

Raglan Road in DTD
Rose & Crown in EPCOT
Sci-Fi Drive-In in HS (he specifically requested this one because "the pictures look so cool")
Be Our Guest in MK
Ohana at the Poly

I've only been to Be Our Guest for QS Lunch and to Sci-Fi once many years ago. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

I can confirm you'll LOVE O'Hana's in Poly!

My fav restaurant and my last 2 trips I cannot obtain an ADR since I booked my trip too late... :(

Rose and Crown I ate at prior and it was good!

They look good to me.

I might drop Rose & Crown for something else in the world showcase just for variety's sake (probably Spice Road Table,) but it's a good choice.

Oh wow, I didn't even see Spice Road Table when I was looking! It actually looks very good - we might change it to that. Thanks for the advice! Do you know if it is 1 or 2 table service credits?

I'm 99% sure that it's just one credit.

Just a tip on making your ADRs- Since BOG is in such great demand, try to make that ADR first at 6am EST when your 180-day window opens up. 'Ohana should probably be next as it gets booked pretty fast too.
Good luck!

BOG dinner is a hard ADR to get so as PP mentioned, make it your first priority at 6am EST when your window opens up. Also, consider making it for one of your very last days of your vacation to increase the odds of getting it. eg if you are hypothetically arriving on Sun and leaving on Sat, make it for Fri night as more availability.

Raglan Road is incredible. Great food & great entertainment. When you arrive at the check-in podium, ask to be seated in the main dining room so you can see the entertainment (live bands & dancing).

I haven't done Rose & Crown as I have British pubs in the neighbourhood so nothing unique for me. It gets decidedly mixed reviews . . . some love and some not so much. Check out Epcot menus online eg at allears and check to see what the two of you will really enjoy eating. Lots of good choices in the World Showcase. San Angel Inne has greatly improved over the past few years. I personally love Marrakesh but it isn't everybody's cup of tea. Teppan Edo is a perennial favourite.

I didn't have a good experience with O'Hana for dinner. Food just wasn't good. But it may have just been an off night or my taste buds. This is true of many WDW restaurants. Only a handful are universally panned. None of those are on your list so enjoy!

Just wanted to add another tip about Raglan Road. Since it isn't Disney-owned, they don't release all of their tables to the Disney ADR system. If you find you can't get the day/time you want via Disney, try Opentable.com where you will typically find much more availability.

You may want to re-think Raglan Road and Rose and Crowne, while both are good. They basically the same British pub food. Raglan has a better menu with lots of options, Rose is a bit more limited - just my opinion.
For Epcot - I suggest Chef d' France.
Have a "magical" time!

We like both Chefs de France and Teppan Edo better than Rose & Crown. For the two of you I'd probably go Chefs de France. We ate at Rose & Crown once and probably won't go back -- not awful, just nothing stood out as particularly good.

I always to to All Ears dot net and read the menus. Everyone taste is different. 10000's of people told me to places I didnt like. Ive recommended places others did not like. Only you know your taste buds and what type of food you like. If you seen the menu and can pick a couple of entrees you might order, you'll be just fine :)

ONE thing I do suggest, because I never did it and now regret it, is try some place youve never been before. Im a creature of habit... if its not broken, dont fix it...but my hubby now insists we dont go to any place we have been before. It forced me to try new places and now Im sad I didnt do this for the past 10 - 20 years. So many great restaurants and great food I missed out on going to the same 10 places every time :)

So as far as your choices go here is my opinion:

Raglan Road in DTD - WINNING!
Rose & Crown in EPCOT - a pale shade of RR but nice as well
Sci-Fi Drive-In in HS - fun for the burger and nostalgia
Be Our Guest in MK -its ok (yes I expect to get flamed for that)
Ohana at the Poly - very nice
But... you forgot the hoop de doo?!?!

Thanks everyone! You are all so helpful. I'm thinking that I'm going to trade Rose & Crown for Spice Road Table since their menu seems to be something that we would like. I'm getting nervous about BOG though! I'm not sure what to have as a backup. We'll be in MK that day. I'll have to do some more research! Thanks again :thanks:

As a backup to BOG, you might consider The Wave over at the Contemporary. It's a short walk (10 minutes or less) or one stop on the monorail from MK.

Rose & Crown - not my first choice in EPCOT (I don't drink beer), but as long as you avoid Five Dragons, it's a fine choice. We prefer Spice Table and the less popular Coral Reef; Sunshine Seasons on the Qwik Serve occasions.
Sci-Fi - uniquely Disney. I will say, if your boyfriend has a big appetite, portions at 50's Prime Time are huge (and uniquely Disney atmosphere too).
Be Our Guest - we prefer dinner to enjoy getting a picture with the Beast, and request the more intimate West Wing. Great value too.
Ohana - not our cup of tea, but I suggest going early when the reviews seem to suggest the meat service is better. Also, the little extra you get with the show makes this a better 1-Credit value than most anything else at the Monorail resorts.

Great diversity. I would't change a thing or second-guess yourself once you've obtained your ADR's.

Enjoy!!
